Just received my new dna40 from vaporshark (the one with bigger screen). I know there are a bunch of issues with the screen, etc.

Have a question on charging. When i plug the usb to charge, fire button doesnt flicker or light up, battery icon on screen doesnt change. Only a tiny red light lights up below the usb port. Is this normal? Or is this how they are designed?

Also when in kanthal mode, is there suppose to be a F or a C icon on the screen?

If the DNA40 is like the DNA30, then the red light is the only charging indication you will see.

As for the F/C, I believe it stays there in kanthal mode, but it will not have a temp next to it. Mine is at VS now getting the screen issue fixed so I can't verify, but IIRC, it is there below the volts display.

The Fire button lights up red when I USB charge, it goes green when full. I don't see a light by the USB port at all.

Remember that the Battery indicator on the screen is not very accurate, it's a relative reading to the ohms or something like that, you may wanna google it as I'm not 100% sure whats happening there.

As for the Kanthal mode, The Temperature setting will disappear when the fire button is pressed and has no affect on firing the coil. The DNA40 device will detect whether its Nickel or Kanthal.

I believe you are talking about the rDNA40, he was asking about the DNA40.
