Personaly, the concept is fantastic, the exicution blew. I had 2 of them and neither lasted more than 2 days. This is just my opinion, but I find they weren't put together well. The battery attachment that you screwed the atomizer onto was the 1st problem. Poor soldering, bad connections, etc. The next was the poor battery cover connection. It just never seemed to want to screw in correctly and almost always cross threaded.

Shawn was great with replacing the 1st one (actualy a gift for reviewing it), and I was thrilled when he sent the 2nd one. Both lasted me maybe 2 days. I still have the second one and tried it again just recntly and the battery connection end came completely unscrewed when an atty was being unscrewed from it. That is when I noticed the positive connection solder was poor and is what was prohibiting the unit from working propperly.

When I get a chance, I am going to attempt to resolder it, screw it back together with the body and use an adhesive to secure it better, and see if that corrects the problem. If it doesn't, no big loss.

It kills me that they weren't better made. They are an incredibly attractive, compact, and powerful device. Unfortunately, poorly made.

I would love to see an improved & corrected version of this PV.

I hope that helps answer some of your questions.

I actually liked my V51, cool lighting, easy to use, better vapor than my M401 (portable unit, not my PT), longer battery life, lots of good points for me. Recently though I switched from the M201 atty to cartomizers because my original M201 was starting to go out (after about 2 months of daily use) and the new M201 atty I had gotten was a slightly different design/build/something that I just could not use with the V51 connector. There was no draw on it whatsoever when it was connected enough to get the atty to fire up. I had the opposite problem with the 801 attys, there was way too much air and too easy of a draw, almost no vapor unless I really laid on the switch for a while and took a slow deliberate draw on it. Also from when I first got the V51, the batts always seemed to start to die long before there was not enough juice to light the LED, and it has just become more and more noticeable, especially with the cartos. Since I have been using my USP PT more and more, I recently decided to get a Prodigy V2 from PS (only order I have not gotten from Shawn, and that is just cause he doesn't carry a 5v portable mod) so hopefully that will work out better. As soon as Shawn puts up the VG juices I will be placing another order since I am almost out of my "vape of the month" flavors (Dr. Pepper and Caramel) and will be looking to try some other ones in the next couple of weeks.

Wow, didn't mean to go that long... >.<

I was working on my Vapre51 just today. I got the positive soldered back and and gave it a shot. It still didn't work properly, then the negative wire came off as well. So then I unsoldered both connections and tried a 201 to 901 connector just loose. It did work, but still had many of the same problems. I'm not giving up on it, and I will tinker away for a while longer on it to see what I can find out. Again, too bad because it's such a nice looking device... but I see it IS missing on the new store page.

Yeah, I was told he discontinued selling them. However, I might add, I have 2 of them (1 for me and one for my wife), and both of these have been in use daily since the end of October, and neither one has had a single issue. No loose connection issues, nada, nothing.

Did i get a later, improved model or something?
