Got my Vari Tube last Friday from LitCig and have been loving it except for 1 thing. For an 18650 mod it has a short battery life using AW imr's and Panasonic imr hybrids. I just assumed it was due to the power this thing puts out. Monday while we were out shopping it stopped firing when the battery meter read empty and I forgot to bring a spare battery. Still had my vv Gripper in the car from last Friday but no battery. When I took the battery out of the Vari Tube to try in the Gripper I was surprised to see it still had 3.6 volts left on it. I vaped on the Gripper until we got home a few hours later. Since then I've been checking the batteries every time the Vari Tube reads dead battery and stops firing. The Gripper always reads 3.6 volts and my multi meter reads 3.59 volts.

Is it normal for a Vari Tube to cut out when the battery drops to 3.6 volts? If that is normal I really feel like I wasted $50 no matter how nice it looks and performs. If that's not normal I'm still SOL lol. LiteCig is out of stock now, so no telling how long the wait would be for a new one.

Gave LiteCig a call and the person I spoke with seems to think cutting off at 3.6 volts may be normal and that a new one may behave the same way. He was very pleasant to talk with and E-mailed me a shipping label for the return. Hopefully the new Vari Tube doesn't cut off at 3.6 volts so I can get some decent battery life out of it.
