Just experiment. Start at the bottom test each vape in .2 increments. It's a simple device. Think of it like a volume button on an mp3 player. You'll easily know when it's too little or too much.

Your taste will vary based on juice ratio/flavor/and time of day. I like it light first thing and then crank up as my day gets going.

You'll love it compared to your basic ego.

Its used to increase the throat hit, vapor, and flavor. Some people vape at a low voltage (3.2-3.4) and others go very high (4.6-5). Its all a matter of personal preference and will probably change from juice to juice and atomizer to atomizer.
The ohm (resistance) of your wire will change it too. A low own, 1-2, will require less volts to reach the desired vape. You will have the reverse effect with high ohms, 2.5-4. Play around with resistance and voltage to get the perfect vape. It may take some time, but you'll be happy with the end results!

before we had no choice, we had to try and find a certain resistance for our ego batteries as high resistance doesn't fire well and low resistance was too hot.

the idea behind VV is simple you can adjust the voltage to whatever setting works best for the device you are using. when i had ego spinners i usually stayed in the 1.8 to 2.4ohm range opting for 1.8 when i could find them. right around 2 ohms seems to be a middle ground giving you room to go up or down a bit.

like others said screw something on and start low, take a vap or two and turn it up a little, after a few shots youll get to a spot when it seems to work well and taste good, you will know instantly when you go too high "ewww burning sweat socks " then just back off and let the wicks rewet themselves.
