Variable wattage devices

If a device is variable wattage and has a built in ohm meter, if you set it to a specified wattage, does it change the voltage on the fly if the device changes resistance? Due to heat etc.

Yes that's the beauty of the VW feature - it will adjust the voltage to give you the same power. As I understand it, each time you fire it, it does this calculation (it doesn't just check it once per time interval and remember it)

Now I am not sure if the resistance changes mid-vape if it would record it and adjust the voltage while firing...

It's unlikely that it would change mid-vape, but otherwise, yeah, for sure. That's the whole point of variable wattage: maintaining a consistent vape under varying conditions.
