Have been getting updates on this thing, looks pretty promising. Should be shipping out in a week or two, kind of pricey at $190ish (with 2 batteries and crappy balance charger) but had to grab one for the same reason I had to grab GI2 clones...I love boxes lol.
Anyone else have one preordered or plan to grab one?

Even if the genuine VA was 190 I wouldn't buy one.
Yes it is beautiful, but that nasty PWM on a mod that expensive is a deal breaker

Thats what turned me away from the original Variant when it was very first released a while ago. My friend has a real one and I wouldnt pay near it for one, but at 190 for a Ti Slim clone its kind a collection thing for me, not that I wont use it, I will, rattlesnaking wasnt huge on the authentic so hoping it isnt low frequency on the clone.
Hey maybe they upgraded it to a super high freq PWM like Raptors, Sigelei 100, IPV etc =) At 260w however im pretttty sure itll be low freq similar to the GOD180 (yuck).

On a side note, anyone see the new SMY 260w mod? Huge improvement over their GOD180 but still wouldnt buy it.

The Limwell/Psmoke clone is built very well from what I can see so far. I have had it for just under a week now

Is that video a parody? It is so damn funny. Looks like the clone is pretty nice. Not sure it's worth the price of admission but who am I to say? If it comes down to the $120 range I'd definitely grab one to see what it's all about.

$140 after coupon code at FT isnt bad. Prob gonna pick one up. Word of advice to anyone buying one, dont spend the extra $30 for the version with the charger, thats a $8 charger. You can get a much, much better one at Hobbyking.

Will different (more suitable) LIPO packs fit in the enclosure or something?

It seems a bit like Ferrari selling their latest model equipped with a thimble-sized fuel tank.

for starters, that battery is rated at a higher voltage than your normal 18650. Im led to believe it's more like a 2400 mah, which is still a little low, but better than you'd believe

the device, at least the real one, is a lot of aesthetics and a lot about potential. I would imagine there are better batteries that could handle the higher wattage for a longer duration, but it doesn't have to be about that.

with the analogy of the Ferrari, just because you have one doesn't mean you intend to actually race it

I guess I can see that you need less amps if you are using a higher voltage to achieve the same power.

Still, for the price (of either original or clone) I would prefer a bigger fuel tank, just so that I have more cruising time in which to pick up the ladies before I have to take a pit stop.
