Okay, still posting in new section but I need help w/...

I plan to buy a few diff strengths of "flavor"- I notice many sites don't list the actual strength of each just that one is extra high, high, med etc and others give specific amount of nic in mg count...
also some sites offer w/ PG and non- PG flavors

I am a menthol lights 100 smoker about a pack a day

The strength I think I should get max is 18 mg and then a few lighter ones- Am I right? From a supplier that only lists as high, etc what would that equate to?

Also, not sure about any reactions to PG- I used to decorate cakes- plenty much the same type stuff used when blending your own icing- however as this is more of a straight up form... should I try a few of each just in case we have reaction to PG?
Did anyone have any indicators that they were not good with it beforehand?

Does it change the flavor of the liquid?
Can anyone suggest suppliers who offer various strengths of nicotine including NO nicotine options as well as both PG & Non PG options?

I looked at Nuvape.com but saw a couple posts that their liquid is too light on flavor or too "perfumey"
Any other thoughts on them or other suppliers?
Oh being in the US I will only purchase if I can use US dfollars and credit card order- Thx so much!

You can get different mg strenght liquids from 64mg - 0. The choice is yours obviously. I too used to smoke menthol lites and I started out on the 36mg. To be perfectly honest I have found no big difference in the 36mg vs 9mg. Trust me I have tried a lot of them too. As for the PG (Propylene Glycol) I think you may be talking about VG (Vegtable Glycerin) for cake decorating and such. I use both the VG is thicker and produces more vapor but I use it only to mix with. The site I order from is eCigarettes and eLiquid from Awesome Vapor

Bass is right about the nic, The high stuff like 60, 48 and so on are normaly in no flavor P.G. or V.G. , they are for cutting and mixing your own flavors..do not vape them uncut. In most cases you get to choose 24 or less because China is restricting the 36 mg.

You smoke about the same as I did. I frist tried 18mg and it was too strong for me, I went to 11mg and found that was fine. If you try the 18mg and it's strong add some P.G., V.G. or Glycerin (USP only) The taste will weaken a bit but not much as you will be adding small amounts until you get it right. Or you can add some Lorann's flavoring to it. Matching flavor of course!

You may want to think about getting sample sizes, 5ml bottles to try first until you find your flavors. Vapor Options, Vapor4life, ESmoker on line, and e-liquid Planet (I think) all have sample sizes..look on the front page of this forum and scroll down to the suppiers sections.

P.G. is found in Ice Cream, toothpaste and all sorts of things including Lung Patients inhalers and radiator fluid. It is the ingrediant that keeps things from gunking and clumping up. If you have never had a reaction from any of those (except the radiator fluid..lol) there is a fine chance you won't when vaping P.G.

There are 20,000 members on this board almost and 5,500 active members and only a tiny percentage of them have had problems with P.G. There have been a few though! Please be aware that some problems need medical attention, while most are just annoying and go away. Like face breakouts, gas, dry mouth (you will need to up the water you drink) Some of the minor problems may just be our body getting rid of the toxins. I hope you aren't one of the people who can't use P.G. but if you are, then yes, go to V.G.

A few suppliers sell both P.G. and V.G. but you have to hunt for them Juicy Juice is one. Same with 0 Nic..but why bother? Get some loranns, Bickford or Cappela drops and make your own 0 Nic.

Glycerin is the same as V.G. but it's thicker. I use a few drops in my juice to increase vapor production. You can vape it with flavoring, but you will need to thin it with distilled water or a clear high percentage alcohol like vodka...NOT RUBBING! make sure the bottle you buy from the drug store, craft store supermarket or Wal-mart says USP on the label. Humco and Wiltons are 2 brands.

Xtra high is 36 or 24
High is 24 or 18
medium is 11
low is 8 or 6
O is zero!

That is in most cases..if you are unsure ask the site in an e-mail or here in their forum.

P.G. and V.G. are the taste of the e-liquid! They add the sweetness.

All Suppliers accept credit cards and deal in U.S. Dollars. I have yet to find one who doesn't.

I sure hope that helped..my fingers are tired!

Thx so much!
Great info Mary! I guess everyone is a little weary of the unknown ... I will definitely start w/ a few sample packs/ taster packs in various strengths to see what fits us best.
I am going to check out those suppliers now.
I am very familiar w/ Wilton's, Lorrans, etc- (I am also a crafty sort and do cakes and candy w/ flavorings) Kind of nice to know I already have some supplies- LOL
Thx again- I guess I should be fine w/ PG based flavors-
Now to choose flavor options...
