Hey guys Im new to the forum and I have a simple question as im a new vape user, I recently purchased the vaporesso tarot mini kit and I was happy with it until i changed my coil to the traditional 0.4Ohms 40W -50W clapton, the problem is that I tried every juice including bazooka, lava flow... and I ve been getting dry hits even If i wait for the juice to get in the cotton and change my coil there is always that burnt taste...
Does the 40 -50W indication says that I cannot go under 40 or more than 50? What's the matter with these coils? I ve been using the ceramic one it is seriously better... This burnt taste is destroying all the pleasure in the juice taste and I just added some lava flow juice and it tastes like hell lol.
(Sorry for my bad english! Not my first language)

Lower the power. Those "recommended" wattages are not a requirement, and are usually inflated by the manufacturers because big numbers appeal to people. With say a new coil, prime, let it sit, take some unpowered draw to be sure the wick is wet, then start at a low wattage, that coil maybe 20W. You probably won't see any vapor at that but it's OK. Start going up a watts at a time with a little break in between. Stop when you get to the wattage that your sweet spot. It might be well under that "recommended" or maybe close to the lower range of that "recommended". In addition, breaking it in slowly assures adequate wicking and no dry hits.

Hi and welcome. The coil is not wicking well; that's why it dry hits when you're using it, but gets better after it has time to sit. This give the wick time to catch up. This can be caused by any number of things but, as @Eskie suggests, lowering the power should help. Another good idea is to switch to a thinner juice to help it wick better. If you will take a sewing needle and use the tip to fluff the wick in the port before installation this sometimes helps. And my personal suggestion is to go back to the ceramic coils since you like them better.

I'd return to the coils you liked as well, but the suggestions suprtrkr gave above can be very helpful in dealing with dry hits, some coils are more prone to this than others. I use max VG as I'm sensitive to PG and I find that continuing to inhale after I've pressed the fire button for a few seconds also helps wick juice consistently up into my coils. I don't get dry hits and I really ought to.

I'm a fan of Vaporesso's ceramic wick coils. They last for many tankfuls of juice and they're inexpensive vis-a-vis most other stock coils. However, they are not for cloud chasing at high wattages. I only have the Estoc Mega, which uses the EUC coils. Those are very good flavor makers a 35-40 Watts.

@Eskie is right about wattage ratings provided by the manufacturers. Treat them as suggestions only and there is nothing wrong if your sweet spot is outside the range.
