So I recently got a vector rda. Ito a great flavorful rda and the build quality is awesome plus it's basically leak proof unless you fill it up ridiculously full and then put it in your pocket upside down.

Anyways, the description everywhere says that it has a special insulator shape to prevent the center post from spinning. But guess what it's the only rda I have that has had the problem of it spinning. It has a "squircular" insulator or really just another word for barely oval shaped. So I have tried to retighten it to where it stays put but still it will start to want to spin but I will back off before it f's up my coils but then the wires won't necessarily get cinched down tight enough all the time.

So is there a way I could get it to stay in place. I was thinking maybe epoxy or something but I'm kind iffy on that as its a permanent solution and I don't know I'd that would be safe. I don't want to be vaping epoxy

The center post is actually dead square on two sides and rounded on two sides. Make sure it is properly SEATED then screw it tight to the 510 pin. You have to hold it firmly in place where it seats into the atty deck. If you just turn the 510 pin, it can become unseated.
IF your 510 has stripped at all or the threads in your center post have stripped then you need a new post and or a new pin. Make sense?

People tend to overtighten screws. It causes them to strip.

The other problem is if the center post is not firmly seated and in place, when you mount your coils and put torque on your center grub screw you can unseat the center post and cause your "spinning."

Thick wire in this atty is not a great idea since it requires more torque on the grub screw to get it tight and connected. Use 26g max thickness.

NO EPOXY!

26 gauge is all I have been using. I think what happened is the insulator deformed and turned because it has a notch where the square bit of the post sits in and that's facing where the post if seated in the notch it's perpendicular to the other posts if that makes sense. None if the threads are messed up. But today I really torqued the center post onto the copper center pin and and I put some clapton in there's and eased up on how tight I tighten the grub screw and that seemed to do the trick.

Cool. If you want to reposition the insulator so it is properly seated just gently unscrew your 510 and reseat it properly. When you scree the 510 back in, make sure the center posts stays still. What I do is put a needle nose on the center post top and my screwdriver on the 510 pin. Then I make sure I get a snug tight fit.

Contact VLS in CA by way of email or phone. So long as your product is authentic, they will provide you with support.
This guy lives within walking distance of VLS USA. If the insulator fails to hold up and so long as your product is authentic, they will provide you with support.
