Vendor Packaging

I came across a 40% off sale on Standard juices. I like some of them quite a lot, so I decided to stock up. Today, I went to the mailbox and could smell the juice in the hallway before I even opened my box.

What I found was disturbing and unsafe. It was a number of glass bottles just sitting loose in a bubble mailer. One of the bottles broke in transit (honestly, we're lucky it was just one) and leaked everywhere. Bless my letter carrier for having to touch it. He left a note asking me what was in the package. It was quite a mess.

Here's what it looked like:

I'm not going to name and shame here, but the company's name is in the title of the video I linked.

I buy a LOT of juice, and often purchase from new companies who just started making juice. I've had some packaging that was less than awesome, like we all have, but this? This is just egregious. If you're a company that ships juice, please remember to package properly and safely!

I'll never order from them! Seems pretty ignorant to not pack them adequately, it's not hard to do. Guess them saving a few cents on packaging was more important than the safety of the mail-carrier and you getting what you ordered. Although, they really owe you now, and should replace it all, costing them more in the long run if they have any scruples at all.

That's unacceptable. When I order juice (not from this company)they all came in a bubble wrapping individually, air bag looking packaging in the box, and the box was made in what I would describe as a wax type of box & sealed. Bad packaging will make people not want to order. Thank god the mailman still delivered and honestly can't blame him for asking what was leaking.
Good luck on your next juice delivery, hoping you have a better experience.

Might have been inspected/repacked by the postal service. I received an order from a vendor I use on a regular basis where the glass bottles were just rattling around unprotected in the box with a handful of Styrofoam "peanuts". Luckily nothing broke. This vendor ALWAYS packs everything very carefully and wraps the bottles individually in bubble wrap. Contacted them and they said "Yep, that's typically how a package is re-packed by postal inspectors."

Not saying it's what happened in your case, but I'd check with your vendor first before writing them off.
