I had to be out of town on business for 10 days and I needed something from a vendor. I decided to have it shipped to myself at the out of town location. In the comment section of the online order page, I put, "Please don't use your company name in the return address since I'm a stealth vaper." I've done this before with other vendors and they have all been great about using their personal name instead of a name with e-cig or vape in it. It's not a big deal, I'm just a private person and prefer not to give gossips something to yack about.
Well, the package arrived today. The vendor complied and put their name instead of the company's name in the return address.
But at the bottom of the label, very clearly printed in bold type, it says, "Please don't use your company name in the return address since I'm a stealth vaper."
Seriously? They didn't see how adding my comment to the shipping label might defeat the purpose?
The very first question I got when they handed me my mail was, "What's a stealth vaper?" I told them it was a type of motorcycle. The look on the girl's face was priceless.
I might show up for my meeting tomorrow wearing a leather jacket and a helmet. Creating gossip might be more fun than trying to prevent it.
