im looking to pick this one up to replace rebuilding vivi nova heads, i like the design of this quite more than the drunker tank, but havent heard anything about it yet.

anyone play with it yet?

I'm hoping they are decent. I like the compactness of it compared to most RBA tanks. Love the compactness of Drunker. Have 3 coming from co-op and 3 more from friend who participated in same co-op. (There was a limit of 3 per Ax style in co-op.) I'm making a trip to Mexico soon and will be carrying bunches of vape stuff to my friends who can't purchase vape supplies there so hoping A8 will work for them, three family members. Currently they are using ViVi Novas on eGo batteries. They can't afford high dollar tanks.

I was going to update the other A8 thread but did not get around to it.

I was getting a harsh tasting hit from the A8, and had yet to have a great experience with it.

I messed around with my coil setup last night. I made sure the coil was directly over the center airhole, and I pushed it down until it was just barely over it (not touching of course, but close). The hit got better. I actually cleared a tank of juice!

I'm going to mess with it some more today so I can be a bit more specific, but I just wanted to let you guys know it's not a complete dud.

There is a very tiny piece on the 510 connection that goes over a small screw and actually makes the connection to your device.

DO NOT LOSE THIS TINY PIECE. You won't be able to use the A8 without it. I lost mine for a couple days. Then I found it on the floor (luck).

Then I ran into an open door.

Just don't lose that piece..

I have been vaping on it for the past month and vaping it right now and i enjoy it.It is a warm to hot vape,as the coil is at the top of the unit. You have to tilt this one to the side the wick is on,just like using a SS mesh wick,or you can/will get a dry hit.Make sure you give it a good cleaning before firing it up for the first time. Not sure if you watched the video on HDV's site, the site has it listed as 2.5ml tank but i actually get almost 3ml's in it,using a needle bottle and filling thru the wick slot until the juice just flows out the wick. The installed wick that comes with the RBA is not bad but is not a cloud maker by no means, and it looks like it is 1mm silica.I have no complaints with it and have been rotating between this and my terminator-C.I think you will enjoy using the A8.

i've had my A8 for a few days now, played around with several different wick options. stock wicks were as expected and left something to be desired. I then recoiled a stock wick and it got better but not quite there yet. tried using some 2.5mm silica i still had when i purchased my trivecca drip atty, that wick seemed to thick and took up most of the wick/fill hole and gave a terrible vape. my current set up is using the silica i ripped out of a unused clearo, made a nice 1.9 ohm coil. stuck one end down the wick hole and clipped the the other end after the coil. this is my best one as of yet no burnt taste, about a half tank used so far so i will see how this continues to hit.

friday im gonna be buying some bamboo and see how that preforms. havent attempted a mesh wick yet as most of my mesh setup have become more a novelty then anything else. we just dont get along unless it the DiD, yet i have set up a few for friends and they are happy with results. I must just be overly picky about flavor and performance

I use bamboo, cotton, and ceramic rope wick in my Hornet and RDA drippers and these wick and taste better than the standard 3mm wick the vendors are selling.I enjoy using the ceramic rope the best as it does not burn the wick and the taste is great.
