long answer:
Yes, if you want both coils to do anything. If they are not exactly the same, one will get hotter than the other... and they will vaporize juice unevenly. If the resistances are off more than just a tiny bit, one may not even get hot enough to vaporize juice.
Just remember the old saying. "Electricity tends to take the path of least resistance". As long as your not wrapping an extra wrap on the second coil or something wierd it shouldn't be that noticeable. Easiest way to get it close one a dual is to wrap a single coil and fold it in half to create a dual verticle. I build quads all off the same coil that same way.
hey drillrx, im having the same query..if my visualization of your suggestion is correct, i should get the coils to light up evenly..searched online for tips of having both coils burn up the juice evenly, so far only yours are straighforward and easy to understand..thanks
But when you fold the coil doesn't that leave the resistance high? DrillRX, what kind of resistance do get from that? Is that what some call an "infinity coil"?
