VERY Hot Carts

I use an eGo with 510 low res carts. After a couple of big draws the carts are getting VERY hot. If I puff more it almost gets too hot to touch. This happens with all of my eGo batteries T-Rex 650 to Spinner, I have 6 different batteries. Does anybody know why this happens. By the way, I don't like eGo cartomizers.

Well, The only thing I can think of is maybe You are drawing to hard.Try taking a lighter draw and see what happens.

If you don't like carto's, stop using them and move onto a different delivery system

the lr cartos tend to be hotter than sr because theres more current running through them

Thank you for all the responses. They all seem to be true. I will do them all. I must use carts because of the throat hits. Tanks give alot of smoke but I have not tried one to give me that good TH.

I am using 1.6 ohm. I wonder if I am not frying the juice with my Spinner over 4v? Judging by the ohm chart I really am but that just doesn't seem right.

You are probably correct. When you go above 3.7V you want to increase the resistance & use higher ohm carts, like 3.0 ohms. I use 2.5 ohms for everything, just to keep things simple.

Just a thought...the TH you like with the carts could just be the taste of the polyfill inside the cartomizer. I've been back 'n forth with all this lately, and a rebuildable atomizer is the only acceptable solution thus far.

Whodoo is right. up the ohms on the cart I use a 1.6 with 3.7 volt and a 2.0 both in a tank and they do get warm but not extrm. Maybe try a tank could help with the temp of the cart.

Do you use drip tips with your cartos? I would suggest using 2 ohm and above in the future.

That's low, 1.6. Depending on the juice 1.8 is even sometimes too low - I keep 2's and 2+ around. I've figured out which of my juices seem to heat things up the most and which can take a lot of voltage on my VV - I have one juice that always seems to produce a hot, hot carto, and it burns pretty quick.
BTW, I've dripped and tanked and Vivi'd and all the rest, and for everyday use still much prefer cartos - smoktech dual mega's work best for me. I spin 'em (also don't like condom or syringe methods) and it's really long since I've burnt one. Such a Luddite I am... Good luck!

Thanks, I like spinning myself. I have since gone to 3.2ohm single cartos that work pretty well. I am kind of limited on funds. The throat hit isn't exactly as high as I would like but I still have 2 boxes to go through. I think I will lower the ohms some on my next purchase. The single coil cartos do work pretty well if I don't keep early filling them to overflow. I am loving my Spinner and Twist. I have 4 standard batteries that I can't bring myself to using.
