I received my ultimatum kit today on what was to be a very stressful day at the hospital so the Vapor King was pushed to the limit on day 1.
First, the packaging is beautiful, the case and PCC are more beautiful and quality than I expected. Very nice finish.
The batteries, I expected to be heavy, but were actually MUCH lighter than I expected and I was easily holding the King in my mouth freely. My other ecig was a supermini, and I thought that the King would make me sacrifice weight for more battery life and longer Carto life but this was amazingly not the case and I found the Vapor King to be only slightly heavier than my supermini which considering the battery/Carto life the trade off is a no brainer since there really isn't a trade off at all. Battery life on the King was unreal and put my supermini to shame in this department as I expected.
The Cartos are artfully done and clearly marked. Flavor and throat hit were exactly to my liking. These also put the carts on my supermini to shame which of course I expected. However I ditched carts on my supermini long ago and went with straight dripping which grew tiresome having to drip every 5 minutes. Cartos are really the way to go and the King gets it right.
I was very interested in trying a 2 piece unit and the King delivered on every front.
I didn't have much time at all to charge the Batteries before I started fiendishly vaping and it kept right up with my stressful day. I brought my supermini along just in case the batteries on the King couldn't last but I never had to touch it, the King lasted the entire trial.
The learning curve on the King lasted about one minute with me. After a minute of use, I realized the primer puff was key with the auto battery and I mastered its "way" immediately getting consistent flavor, throat hit, and vapor with every pull.
And finally after getting home, I was able to nestle up to my laptop and test out the passthru which rocks as well.
I also decided to test out refilling the carto with the "juice in the condom" method and it worked like a charm. The carto responded very well with the refill. And the refill took me 2 minutes to complete with no mess or fuss.
For the King to keep up with me, fresh out of the box, on probably the most stressful day of my life is an enormous feet. Hats off to its creators. I am a fiend vapor, formerly fiend smoker, filled with angst and stress all day, and the King saw me through it all.
On a side note. I was flagged by a valet who thought I was smoking, after a brief explanation he was amazed, and conversed with me about his failed attempt to quit smoking having recently taken up the habit again. He wanted to know where to go to get an ecig. I handed him one of my cards proudly from Vapor4Life and hope he places an order.
