For my friends that never came home, physically or psychologically:

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds -
and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of -
wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence.
Hovering there I've chased the shouting wind along
and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
"Up, up the long delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace,
where never lark, or even eagle, flew;
and, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
the high untrespassed sanctity of space,
put out my hand and touched the face of God.

To all the Veterans AND their families for the freedoms me and my family get to enjoy.............Thank you for your service!! Thank you Wheezal for your service, I'll never forget your sacrifice for my family and our country. Let no one forget the freedoms we enjoy and take for granted was paid for at the highest price, our Freedom wasn't Free and we should all honor those that made our freedom possible. :wub:

au also commemorates 11:11am on the 11/11 (or for you usa folks 11/11)

au doesn't call 11/11 veterans day, we call it remembrance day. and we stop what we are doing at 11:11am and have a minutes silence. I'm not sure what usa does.

anzac day is a bigger day for veterans for au, we have a public holiday and there are marches and an illegal gambling game is legal on anzac day called two up. I've never played it, I'm not a gambler.
