Wat are some ratios that people find that are good for both flavor and cloud chasing.

Everyone has their own version of "cloud chasing" while some people swear they get huge clouds with much higher sub-ohm builds even with 30%+ PG, the real cloud chasers will use as much VG as possible. Realistically you can't vape 100 VG even though you may see it on a bottle of store bought e juice. Even if you make it yourself, the highest I've seen is 99.7% VG, even if you find pure 100% VG that is actually 100% and not rounded up to that, most flavors will have PG there are a very small amount of food flavoring that is claimed to be 100 VG, but I doubt that's possible even with nicotine solutions claiming to be 100 VG there's still nicotine added so it can't be 100 VG. Some e juices and DIY people add sweetener so less VG. Realistically 90-95 VG is more realistic.

For real cloud chasing if done right you will have huge clouds but won't have much flavor. You need to pick if you want to cloud chase or have flavor or have flavor and have respectable clouds.

It's a good question but entirely subjective as people have different needs, tastes and interest with regard to vaping. I personally do not care for higher VG concentration as the flavor is muted and my coils get gunk up rapidly. I also find that higher VG takes away from the throat hit and flavor, though you will get greater clouds. I go with anywhere from 60/40 PG/VG to 80/20 PG/VG. If you do higher PG like I do, please be careful and go gradually since you may have allergies to higher PG or PG in general. I do not but many people do. The most common is 50/50 and it keeps it simple for most people. I suggest you start there and see how it works for you.

The OP was asking about cloud chasing and flavor, if you're cloud chasing you don't want too much throat hit if any at all, and PG doesn't have much vapor production. PG does carry flavor better than VG but that does NOT mean VG gives you muted flavor it all depends on how the liquid is made ie: percentage of flavor in the mixture and the strength of the flavor(s) used. I've made and bought high or "100VG" VG e liquid with tons of flavor. VG alone won't gunk up your coils the flavoring and or sweetener used will. Dark liquids, desert flavors, even lighter colored vanilla flavors will too since many if not all use a sweetener that will gunk up coils and tobacco flavors will also gunk up coils. I've used 50/50 juice that killed my coil much faster than something with high VG or claiming to be "100 VG." Last 50/50 is not for cloud chasing.
