I live in Fresno, CA and I just called our best Health Food store and asked if they had VG, told them it was Vegetable Glycerin - they do carry it - want to check with the forum before I go buy it, does it sound alright? I was under the impression you could only order it online, I do have the Glycerine (Wilcox brand from Michael's craft store, but does not say VG or Vegtable Glycerin).

Darlene, I am glad you asked - I was just looking it up on-line. And, Sun, I am glad you were there to answer the question, as I just found "glycerin" at LorAnns and was wondering the same thing.

The one on loranns site can be used.

They do not always say vegetable glycerin. You will usually find the correct glycerin in the arts/crafts area of wal-mart or in the bakery.

Well, Mouse, you know I went to WalMart yesterday and lo and behold....no anything, but I stayed in the food part.....:( Guess I'll have to go back to the arts/crafts part...tried the bakery tho.

Thanks for the tip about LorAnn's casue that is where I was just looking....

Hope you're doing well - no driving and typing.....;)

It might be just me but the Now brand from the health food store left a waxy feeling in my mouth. Not dry like how PG makes me thirsty when I vape too much but waxy like I've been sucking on a candle. I'm currently using the Wilton brand and it doesn't leave the waxy taste. Wilton tastes little sweeter than the Now but since its sweeter it takes away from the intended flavor a bit more than the Now brand. I usually mix 20/80, 20% VG and 80 Menthol for example, Now definitely tastes menthol with increased vapor but Wilton tastes sorta like menthol, very faint menthol taste but with a humongous vapor fog. Either way people use them both so I guess they are all ok but if you asked me I rather use the one made to moisturize cake fondant/icing than one made to moisturize my skin.
