VG juice and noise

A few weeks ago' I posted something about a guy at work complaining about my tank hissing. He sits 40 feet away.

Anyway, for the first time I tried a liquid that is 50 percent VG. Is it my imagination or does VG burn more quietely? My tank is barely making a sound as I sit here smoking it.

I'm not sure why that would be other than the higher pg liquid wicks faster creating more noise in the atomizer. Hmmm?

I think because PG is thinner than VG so it is easily being boiled. You can add a little more VG or try to increase the resistance of your coil (or down the power) to improve it.

After reading your original thread about the guy at work who can hear you vaping I had a dream a few nights later that you made a tape recording of the crackling and hissing and would play it back every once in a while which drove the guy crazy because he never knew if what he was hearing was you actually vaping or just playing back the tape.

They actually have some thing like that. Is a small device to hide and it randomly "Beeps". Just to drive some one crazy. I cannot find the site. I am internet challanged.

i saw that device too. i think it was on my facebook page....very funny! drove people crazy!

I remember many years ago the popular prank was to plant a small "laugh box" somewhere in a store and watch people go crazy trying to find it. It would only laugh at intervals, and for a short period of time, so it was very difficult to find.

I am going to have to get one of those. Lol The bright side is that the guy has stopped griping. I have also went back to cartos half the time which are quieter.

Probably because I went back to using Cartos and don't use my Kanger Provape at work anymore. I tried to keep the noise level as close to silent as possible - just like my office.

All of my clearos and carts make a sizzle sound when the coil is nice and clean. It slowly goes away as the coil gets gunked up, at which point I know it's cleaning time.

I DIY my juice with custom PG/VG ratio and flavorings. I also wind my own coils frequently.
So when I vape (on a new coil, of course) it plays "Smoke gets in your eyes", or a reasonable facsimile. All in ♪♫♪♫♩ crackles ♪♫♪♫♩. ...note user name...

Of course, the old coils don't crackle, they just fade away...
