hey guys,
maybe someone can help me.wanted to make an order from e liquid planet for some juice, didnt know the difference between pg and vg.
Is there any difference.
thanks rob
Hey Rob,
I started with a some vg and pg and the difference I have noticed was the vg was a little easier on the throat with a thicker vapor. I used it mostly at night when I have the tendency to vape constantly while watching the tv and used the pg during the day when I needed a quick fix. If I vaped the pg constantly I ended up with a major dry throat and mouth. For closer to smoking an anolog definately pg gave a more realistic feel. I have now added a prodigy to my collection and have heard that the vg will not do as well as pg but have noticed the vapor is warmer and have not had as much of the problems with vaping more constantly with the pg. So I guess it depends on what you are vaping with as well.

My wife just ordered a few samples from nuvape.com, in the "non-pg" form. I presume this means that it's VG? Is there any other liquid type?
I made that mistake as well.

The NuVape Non-PG is polyethelene glycol (PEG).
It is not VG (vegetable glycerin).

Hopefully you don't get that perfumey taste and smell.
Some people have reported that, me included.

But it isn't necessarily related to their PEG juice.
Let us know if that has been resolved please?

PG is propylene glycol which I believe is glycerin made from animal products.
VG is vegetable glycerin which is made from plant products.

As far as benefits go, this is what I have gathered from reading things here and there, and hopefully someone will correct me if wrong or provide different opinions...

1) VG is thicker (more viscous)
2) VG vaporizes at a lower temperature
3) VG produces better vapor
4) VG is somewhat sweeter

Because of the above...

1) VG does not wick quite as well
2) VG may gunk up your atomizer more quickly
3) VG produces a somewhat cooler vapor which may reduce throat hit

This is only my opinion, and others will disagree, so take it for what it's worth.

I'm a firm believer in heavy VG concentration. I buy 36mg juice and cut it 50% with VG. That gives me 18mg. I get good hit, and loads of vapor. My present atomizer has been going strong for 2 1/2 months now. I use unflavored juice, and it is very thick.

If you consider using VG for mixing, you can get it at any local CVS Pharmacy or Walmart. It will be in the skin care section. Just make sure that ant VG or PG you use says USP on the label. USP means it is food grade.

This is one of those posts that I wish I had made before she made the order - she says every one of the samples taste like flowers. Good thing she only ordered sample sizes... :( Maybe the PG flavors would have been a better choice.

So yeah, I guess that has not been resolved.
Well, on the bright side, some people seem to like their juice.
