Hi All -

This is curiosity on my part, but how many of you REO folks have issues/negative reactions to high VG ratios?

Personally, I have noticed that many of the liquids now offered are high in VG. But, when I vape high VG over time, I get a lot of tightness in my chest/lungs. Its like there is "goo" (technical term :)) coating my insides!

Anyone else experience this? I am not suggesting this is related to REO use, at all. Again, just curiosity.

Thanks!

Right? Bruce is a bugger!

So, what ratio are you using with the distilled water? I have just been throwing extra PG in my juice, but the distilled water is a great idea!
It sure is. I've learned from Poland to make great juice. My favorite mixes are 45/45/10 PG VG Distilled Water. That's for mouth to lung vaping. 25/65/10 PG VG Distilled Water for lung hitting at subohm builds. Occasionally I'll mix 90/10 VG and the water.

I've ran only VG Heavy for the last year and a half plus... 80%+ VG for very long lung hits (after starting with 70/30 then 60/40 until then), and have never felt what you are talking about. I extract some of my own coffee's from fresh ground beans and use VG to do it... still no problems. I do have strong lungs though despite smoking cigs/pipes I also lung hit for over 50 years. None of my 5 cancers are/were lung cancers (they are all attributed to my Vietnam service from the mid 60's).

Seems like most often the ratio issues causing lung problems I've heard about here on ECF have been folks saying they had reactions to the PG. Even so the concept of using distilled water is an interesting one, and I've heard some people do use it. No idea in what ratio they use it though.

This is interesting, a friend and I were discussing this recently, she'd seen a post about someone wanting to get rid of PG entirely. I vape 70-75 PG and she's about 70 pg neither of us can stand heavy vg. We both get the real heavy feeling in our chest. Now to be honest, when I've tried it, I haven't put the distilled water in. I always forget about that. I've got some 70 VG juice that I won in a contest and they messed up and sent 70 vg instead of 70 pg, so I will try some with some distilled water. So y'all are using about 10% DW?

JimiD, do you ever share any of your juice making secrets? I'm just starting out in DIY.

Is that anything like an emotional support salmon?

This whole idea came about because my friend works for an airport and said one time they had a pig on the plane because it was a licensed emotional support pig. It did however get kicked off because it flipped out running down the aisles defecating like a mad fiend. But so hilarious it prompted a name change. Now I can go run down those aisles and do the same
