VG (or Vegetable Glycerine, or just Glycerine) gives a fairly dense vapor, not much throat hit, but more "lung presence".

It can mute some flavors.

The purpose of using VG (and/or PG) is that both these substances will vaporize at relatively low temperatures. Other fluids (water, alcohol, etc) don't vaporize with heat (they eventually boil, which is different).

So do I just mix it in with whatever I'm vaping?

Without knowing exactly what your doing it's hard to give advice. What are you trying to accomplish? Are you tring to make your liquid from scratch?, or maybe change the pg/vg ratio of existing liquid?, or maybe change the nic level of existing liquid?
Why do you want to add it?

So say I have a 0.6% nic level I could raise it by using the VG?

No, that would dilute it and lower the nic level.

PG and VG are the base liquids that the nicotine and flavors are mixed into. They produce the actual vapor. A lot of e-liquids are a blend of both at a ratio depending on personal taste. Though 100% of one or the other is also used.

Sorry I'm still kind of new to some stuff

No need to be sorry, we all started at one time or another. If you could explain, as best you can, exactly what you want to do it will be easier for someone to give you an appropriate answer, that's all.

Yes, it does produce more vapor(than PG), and you coud just add it to existing juice for that purpose, but keep in mind, if you do that, it will lower the nic level, unless you get vg with nic in it, and it will also dilute the flavoring, Might not taste as good as before adding it. Do you know the current pg/vg ratio and nic level of the current liquid.

I was told that it helps produce more vapor from Dude in a shop. I wanted to get more of a bigger cloud

VG does produce more vapor but you lose some flavor and "throat hit". A lot of folks use a blend of the two. Where ever you buy your juices see what PG/VG ratios they offer. Many, many places offer different mixes for their juices. I tend to stay around a 50/50 mix as that seems to be a decent compromise between the two, producing a decent amount of vapor without losing much flavor.
