I was one of the winners of a new vGo kit that V4L is now selling (thank you V4L!) and I thought I'd share my impressions on the device.

I'll start out by saying that I have not had the honor of trying any V4L products (or any 808's), and I know this is not a V4L branded product, so my impressions are of the vGo device, not the V4L product line. I will say though that I received it in record time!

My only vaping experience is with 510 ego style PV's so I can only compare the vGo to eGo style setups. I started with carts and atomizers and am now using Boge cartos. I read Morandir's review thread, as well as a few other threads on the vGo before I used it so I wouldn't be totally in the dark on it's use.

First I tried the vGo with the V4L wow carts. I didn't get much vapor and the draw seemed tight. I only tried one, so it could have just been a dud. I'll revisit the cartos another time.

Tonight I got out the box of tank style (CE3's?) cartomizers that also came with the kit. I was expecting at least some leaking during the fill process and was pleasantly surprised that there was none. They produce a LOT of nice vapor, but I also noticed the flavor was muted compared to the Boges. It's not unpleasant, just lacking in flavor. One thing that was missing was throat hit. I also haven't had any of the burnt taste or juice in my mouth that some have experienced.

I've only been using the vGo for 4-5 hours so I don't have any long term experience to report, but I did want to thank V4L again for the great prize, and to let anyone who's interested know what I thought about it.

Very nice review, and I do have to say that reading Morandir Sir's post that you are not the only one that has a tough draw with WOW carto's. Now if there is a tough draw with WOW's I can only wonder how hard it will be with Cool's (The only carto's I vape). I was reluctant to try it because of Morandir Sir's review, but with you saying there is not burnt taste, I may try it once I get some extra cash.

I personally think, for a 4-5 hour use, you did a great review. If I had extra kr808's I would send you one with a charger to try, but I gave my gf a few batteries.

Thanks for the review. My impressions are as follows:

Flavor is slightly muted with the tanks, ok with the cool carts on the fat batts.
Vapor is good - although this is not a very important aspect in my case.
Leaking is a problem and unfortunately a deal breaker for me with the tanks. Also as Morandir has pointed out, the tanks waste too much juice; carts are still a superior product even though the technology is dated.
I like the fat batts - do not mind the slightly lower voltage, even on cool carts. Although they are heavier and more cumbersome, there are benefits not only in duration, but they don't fall out of my shirt pockets as easily and fit better in my pants pockets :)

Overall, nice to have the fat batts, but I can live without the tanks. On a positive note, I am glad V4L offered them, since I had been considering trying them from other vendors. At least I found out spending money at V4L rather than somewhere else.

They're ce4's actually Ms. Tinytimbergal. Same design as a ce3, just in tank form.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. My PV and carto experience has been limited to 510's and Boge or Smok Tech cartos. :)

Ms. Tinytimbergal how heavy a vaper are you?

When I'm not at work, I tend to chain vape. I usually take 'double hits' and I get 3 days out of a boge. I also vape heavy on the VG, so I wondered if the VG made a difference for me in that I had no leaks. Based on what I read about these systems, I'm sure I purposely took lighter hits to avoid getting juice in my mouth. That said, this morning I topped off the tank and I did get some juice in my mouth. I don't know if it was from taking a harder hit, or the filling, or?

I try to research everything I purchase or use as I don't have the resources to buy or try everything I'd like to. Would I have purchased the vGo based on my research? Probably not. If I were a new vaper and had nothing to compare this to I might be totally satisfied with it.

That's what I thought, just making sure Ms. Tinytimbergal. :)

Last question promise (and this is because the BIL had the same results as you did if he waited about 10-15 seconds between puffs) how long do you go between inhales?

I take long (double hit) drags, but I do wait in between the long drags. I think I do wait at least that long, if not more. Even with the Boges (I use LR 2.Oohm) I've had to learn to wait or they get too hot. :)
