I have a Wismec RX200 which was given to me as a gift about 1
1/2 years ago. I used it almost daily until a few months ago when I began having issues with the 510 pin. Turns out this is a common issue with Wismec products. Although it is now retired, it still serves as a potential backup.
A few years ago Chinese mods where characterized as being cheaply made and sold cheap. The cliche, "We make cheap. You buy cheap. If it break, you buy another."
I must admit, most of the Chinese manufacturers have stepped up their quality control, but a few still follow the old practices of making cheap to sell cheap.
The best investment I have ever made since I began vaping was buying a Provari.
Why Provari? They were a high quality mod built to last decades but at $180 they were considered too expensive by some. However, they were made to last many years as opposed to a few months, and many of the originals are still in use.
Provari's are no longer in production. I've retired the three that I own because they no longer fit my recent sub-ohm preference. Like the RX200, they are now in my backup bin.
I'm currently using a
JAC Vapour Series-B DNA 75w. It seems to have the quality and dependability of my Provari's. Highly recommended.
