I just picked one up and put in drip mode and tasted perfect. Then tried the tank and it was getting dry fowl hits. Put it back in drip and same thing. So i opened the cap and fired it and the center coil is lighting up instantly. If i drip juice directly on the coil and keep the wick saturated it still does this, im thinking this is the fowl taste im getting. So why is the coil getting brite if it is covered in juice, my aga's only get red coil when there is no juice?

By fowl do you mean it has more of a chicken or turkey taste, or more of a waterfowl kind of duck or goose kind of taste? Pheasant, perhaps? Sorry, I am an 8 year old at heart on occasion. :p Honestly, your coil should not be bright red if it is completely saturated in juice. You may just want to remove the current wick and coil, and carefully make a new one. Make sure none of the coils are touching each other, the sides, etc. Is the resistance too low for the voltage?
