Hi, hopefully I'm in the right place. I picked up a used Vision Eternity - seems to be in fine shape and all, don't think it's damaged or modded in any wierd way.

I'm getting a very burnt taste from it. The burnt taste is all the time, doesn't matter how full it is - from first hit through 20 hits its burnt every time. I tried a different pre-coiled wick that comes with it - same thing. Tried different juices, voltages...pulled out the center spike silicone wick (couldn't get it all out).

Any thoughts? I'm new to anything beyond protanks/novas etc.. and was kind of looking forward to a dripping atomizer. As of now it's completely unusable. Is there anything I can try? There must be a reason for it to taste so burnt, but I can't figure it out.

Coil reading at 2.8 - fiddled a bit and now it's at 2.1. No real difference.

Thanks for any help...

I tried boiling the whole thing with same results afterwards. Here is the best pic I could seem to get. I tried installing everything according to pbesardo (sp?) video. The coils are all pre-coiled - this is my first foray into rda.

I'm about to try a 3rd coil, will report back. I just don't really get it - the wick is soaking in fluid, I'm not sure I understand what could cause such a strong burning taste.

It looks like the coil in your picture is a bit to high for silica to lift the proper amount of juice on time. You have to help to lift juice closer to the coil. Try to pack some cotton around your wick's ends like mountains but before you do that replace the wick. The old one might still have some burned taste left in it. Also, before you fire your new set up, saturate your wick properly with juice then test it.

It looks to me like the right hand leg of the coil goes through a hole about half way down the center post, up behind the wick, makes 3 even turns then comes out over the wick a little farther out for the fourth turn, then goes about half way down the center post on the left.

If that's correct then the first coil from the left is really choking the wick bad. It looks like you have a little extra wire on the left. Try loosening the connection and pulling back some wire to fix that first coil on the left.

Also, I don't see any way that could be in the 2 ohm range unless it's really thin wire, but anyways, if your prewrapped coils are loose on the silica (you can slide the silica in them easy), then grab both ends of the coil and spread the coils out a little. Silica swells a little, but it's very little and the coil need be very snug against it.

Also if your prewrapped coils only have four wraps, try to get at least one more wrap on there if you have enough wire.

And lastly, I'd try what shroom posted, and also get some cotton or silica against those long legs ( again, that's if I'm seeing it correctly).

Thanks so much guys. Seems to be working now - I did another coil - unfortunately all I have are the pre-wrapped coils I got with it which narrows my ability to try stuff a bit. Anyway, I tried a third one and made it rather loose.

I was thrown off by the fact that the one installed on it tasted burnt, and then I put another on (the one in the pic) and it also tasted the same which made me start thinking it wasn't the coil.

I see what you all mean about the flaws (the choking and the issue reaching the juice) and so that will help a lot moving forward.
