Vision Eternity help please!

I received my first rba today and its a vision eternity. I built this just how i saw in the youtube videos. upon placing it on my VAMO it fired one time with a severely burnt taste and after that nothing at all. not even a gurgle or fire at all. please help if anyone has had this happen to them i would really appreciate it!

What did the multimeter meter your coil at? Did you break it in slowly? Have you checked it since you fried it to see if it popped?

After I build a coil, I always check the ohms and make sure the coils don't have a hotspot. Then I add juice and break it in slowly to build up some oxidation.

sounds like you popped the coil. open it up and look at it to see if anything broke or came loose.
before firing the first time you need to check the resistance with the vamo.

and always start at lowest voltage setting with a new coil.

I probably popped it, im such a newb to the RBA and variable wattage! ill have to open it up and look, i dont have a meter either to check it, i just used the coil that was attached to it in the package. when i put a new one on what should i put the wattage to start it?

the vamo has a meter built in. hold the right button down and it will show the resistance.

always start low as you can and go up until you get a good vapor.

But remember to turn the voltage DOWN (with the atty removed) before you do anything.

This rba is pretty much a fail. You wanna build it once and have it last. Every build takes a chance of breaking the pins lousy pin set up. It fails as a dripper, you have to set it up in tank mode
Wrap a coil around a needle (like 9-10 wraps) and mount it, pull the needle out and stick a slim roll of SS in there. Take some silica wick and wrap one wrap of SS around it to hold it together and shove that up in the tank mount cylindrical hole (make sure it's short enought that it doesnt jam into the coil, but touches it) oh btw you want the silica/SS thingy with the silica hanging out a bit so the SS doesnt touch the coil, just the silica, the SS is only there to hold the wick together. Like that your pretty much set up in tank mode and probably wont have to touch the coil build for a long time.

I have a few RBA's including 2 Eternities and find them quite functional. Do as the previous posters have said and pulse fire at low volts at first adding a drop or two of liquid to prime the coil. It will be ready quite quickly. The premade coils are 1.8 ohms
