Any tips on how to remove the plastic taste from the Vision Extreme carto's?

GotVapes VISION EXTREME MINI 2.5ml 510 Carto 2.4-2.6ohm 1 Pc [gv-visionEXTREMEMINI2.5-2.4ohm] - $4.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

The previous Vision Extreme's I bought months ago had a clearer plastic, they weren't as cloudy as the ones currently in stock and there was no plastic 'outgas' taste.

I tried soaking them in hot water, and also tried leaving PG/VG in them for days then soaking again in water, but the plastic taste is still there overpowering the juice.

The seal that comes with it is easily modified also... just trim down the center section a bit or lift it up just a touch. PS a drip tip if long enough will also push this seal down if you have lifted it.

Another tip... If you are getting dry hits, it could be caused by the wick slots and trimming them open can help... if you aren't getting dry hits leave it alone or it may over wick and start gurgling and/or leaking out the connector side.

Both of these are common solutions for most of the CE2 style clearo's... no matter brand/make/model

Yeah everytime I get a new carto or burn away the carbon I always adjust the vertical position of the seal. Too low and it cuts the juice flow on the wick, too high and the juice builds up and gurgles in the coil. Cutting away the two outer notches of the seal seems to help but I think the seal could do with a slight redesign to avoid manual adjustment.

The seal is designed around what the factory classifies as a standard "juice" ... since different juices have different viscosity ( thickness ) they can't make a seal that will work properly for all juices. So for any given design, a juice that is thinner than what the seal was designed for with either gurgle or leak at the connection from over wicking, one that is thicker than the design is made for will have dry hits more often... and of course the one they did design for will usually work just fine.

Just out of curiosity, what tool does everyone else use to cut the inner seal? I'm using a standard wallpaper exacto (small blade), but I'm always afraid that I'll mangle the rest of the seal....so I therefore never cut as much as I would like...+1 for the enlargement of the wick slots, though...

I use a razor blade or a pair of kleins.

I use cuticle scissors....they are small enough to fit in there and curved to make it easier to cut ;)
