Sorry to hear of your bad luck with the Spinners, given the amount of times i've read similar comments, seems like the Spinner 2's were pretty poor when it came to durability.

You may consider looking at an innokin Itaste VVv3 (older version, cheaper, about the same price as a spinner 2 ~$25-30) or the newer 2 versions, the Itaste VVv4 ($45-$60 depending on battery size). They are square but they will maintain approximately the same size profile as you are used to with the spinners.

At least with these theres a decent chance you will get MANY months of use out of it, there are many who have one's well over a year old that still work well. Heres the huge thread for the VVv3

Here's Phils review of the newer version VVv4:

East Brunswick, NJ huh? :) I lived in Freehold and worked in Edison for 3 decades.

Those types of batteries don't seem to last very long, do they? My wife used ego twists for a year or so then decided to go with a "mod" that uses a removable, rechargeable battery and has never looked back. Perhaps if you know that you are going to stick with vaping for a while, you'd be best suited buying a slim tube mod with a rechargeable battery. You can own a few batteries and a charger and you'll have the ability to be vaping one battery while the other one charges. Plus, the batteries I am talking about can last more than a day of moderate vaping before they die and they charge in 2-3 hours.

I'd advise the iStick 50W ($50). I now have two of them and love them. They have a 4400 mah battery that will last me 2 days before needing recharged. I use Nautlus Mini's on mine. If you are using the ego threaded tanks you'd also need a 510 to ego adapter ($5). I used the Spinner 2 when I started and then as a backup when I got my first 50W. It's soon to be given to a smoker as a decent starter battery.

This shows the size relative to a pack of 100's cigs, (my last and trophy pack).

Sad to say, Spinner II was far from reliable.

I stopped using them when the iStick came out, as before then, there was nothing really small enough to fit in my suit jacket pocket and still have some power.

Not all the 20w iSticks have been problem free, but my two have been no trouble at all. I though the first (blue) one was beginning to go wrong, but actually, it was a bad tank on the top.

Congrats on your 2-month vaping venture. Have you gone 100% vaping since you started?...I quit smoking since day one of vaping (since July of last year) and haven't looked back.

If you're interested in buying another spinner-style eGo battery, consider one with a spring-loaded connector. This one has a solid build quality, a 2200mAh capacity, and comes in different colors:

I've had mine since December. It has a decent voltage range and I've had no issues with it. I don't use it often any more but it's a good bang-for-your-buck and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a similar device.

Enjoy.

I've had my spinner 2 for about 4 months, no issue until this week, sounds and feels like the cell inside is loose moving around. Which tells me it could very well short. Waiting on my rda to arrive then this get's tossed. I did e-go, e-go twist, spinner 1, spinner 2 and I will say this - durability is horrid on all of them. I have had two that wouldn't charge from the get go that needed replaced and several that the top came off. I probably spent several hundred dollars on batteries on my two year vaping experience thus far and it almost got me to quit all together. I finally just ordered my first mech mod with rda and am more than ready for it. That and the number of tanks I've gone through is ridiculous as well.
