$65.12 Vision Spinner II Style 1600mAh Variable Voltage Battery (5-Pack) - 5 colors at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Is this in the right forum?

This has been bugging me all day, so I hope somebody can help me out. Sorry if it's a stupid question...

I see five SVII for 65 bucks at fasttech.... sounds too cheap to be the real deal, but how can you tell before you buy them? And if they aren't authentic, are they still worth buying?

Seems like other sites are selling them for about twice as much so I'm a little skeptical. Thanks!

To my knowledge, FT doesn't sell "authentic" Vision Spinners. I believe there are some "authentic" ego twists on the site. Whenever FT says "authentic" it is. If they say "style" it's a clone. Not all clones are bad but it's hard to tell which ones are good. The best bet is to read the discussions and reviews. There's a couple of people on the FT forums who routinely test the batteries to see how long they last (FT doesn't check the MAH ratings). IMO there are better places to buy atm (ebay?).

Honestly, I think there are more clones than genuine where ever you buy batteries right now. I'm kinda frustrated with that. I was just on the Vision company website looking for clues myself. Price is not always the best indicatior. It varies with the model. I'm looking for 1300mah and it appears there's a logo on the end cap and around the ego threading is the CE mark. Little things like that can help picking out genuine from clones. I wouldn't be surprised to find some vendors are fooled by their distributors that were passing off clones as genuine.

Hard to tell if they are any good without getting them in you hand. I have a few great ones. Have one that is, not so great but works. Avoid the ones where the volt indicator marks are too high on the body. Colors of the body, color of the dial and connector are other things to look for.

I have some very high quality clone Spinner 2's, no complaints at all with them. Real ones and a not so good fake. The fakes seam to have better colors to pic from :)

If you want dirt cheap I think you can get a good knock off at dhgate for like 2 for 14 bucks.
