Vision Spinner- New buy, excited, but might need info....

So I stepped outside my cig a like comfort zone, picked up a vision spinner variable voltage, and am happily vaping some tasty cinna-bun, Slight issue with understanding the variable voltage arena, and while my sales clerk was knowledge and happy to help at some point my brain went "Too much new info, stop absorbing!"....
Higher voltage= more vapor?
currently set @ 3.7- Pyrex tank, and so far so good.... So the "sweet spot", will that vary from juice to juice?
Any helpful hints, tips or tricks? I am glad the Pyrex tank and Clearo I bought for it use the same replacement wicks, and pop in pop out, nothing tooooooo scary there....
Hoping my spinner will tip the scales and I can be done with the whole analog thing. I want a fun banner after my name soon! Well, and to not smell bad, live longer.... I don't think I am saving money YET, but this is a new foray into something. That always costs. Besides, it has to be less than chemo right?

I understand that different juices are best at a certain setting. I know that as you change coils or heads with different electrical resistance, you will want to vary the voltage to match the coil. Don't worry. It's like riding a bicycle with 27 or 30 possible shifter combinations. You will never need to look at the numbers to know which way to go.

If you don't know a thing about resistance of different coils, I imagine the knowledge won't be long in coming.

Sounds like the same type setup I have:

Kanger protank 2 with 1300mah vapage uturn spinner.

It sounds like you are right on track, the "sweet spot" will vary with juices. If you taste anything like burning turn it down a little. also check around here for some instructions on how to burn off your coil to clean it. nice and easy and helps alot to keep it fresh and cloudy.

Basically if you put a lower ohm atomizer in, the potential power of the battery goes up.

Only tip I have is shop around till you find a juice that fits your needs for taste, cloud and hit feel.

2 weeks analog free and not missing it at all!

Your sweet spot probably will vary from juice to juice, even different toppers with the same resistance may cause you to change voltage, time of day, your mood, the weather, all reasons you can use. The ability to change to voltage is a wonderful thing, you will probably find yourself fiddling with it for no real apparent reason. A trick some people use is to add 2 to the resistance and start there, so a 2.2 ohm coil plus 2 would equal 4.2 starting volts, adjust from to your preference from there. Good luck and welcome to VV.

i use the chart.. i googled ecig voltage chart...
to find my starting point. i pick the middle safe zone and mentally note the too high zone.
i start there and go up a little or down a little till i find the spot.

if i'm not able to access the chart, then i usually just start at 3.8, and go up a little or down a little till it's just right.

Awesome advice, thanks all. I am quite happy so far with my purchase. I was a little hesitant at first because I didn't see a lot about Vision, but realized after poking through here some that I saw spinner a lot, and the clearo I was using was a vision piece. Having a b&m is good for playing with pieces though, and I liked being able to adjust the voltage and see that massive cloud in the store. I'm hoping that being able to adjust will help with getting through the evening hump when I have been reaching for an analog. Thanks for welcome.
Happy Vaping to all, and to all a good night. :)

Hey, I have a question, I haven't been able to find any information on it, and it's so weird because I hear lots of problems with these vision spinners and no one has my problem, =/. When I connect it to my USB charger, it just sits there with the white light ON, and the solid red with flashing green every 3 seconds, constant speed ALWAYS. after 16 hours of charging, it is still solid red with blinking green @ 3 seconds and the white light is still ON. Please someone's gotta know something! It's my backup ecig to my nice big digital ego vv =) Thanks.

(Oh and when it's dead and I do charge it in this way, it charges and lasts a good 5-6 hours, but I feel it should last longer.. i THINK its the 1300mAh one, its like 3.5 - 4' long..)

Take that spinner off the charger. No spinner should be charging for that long. My 1300mah spinners take 4-5 hours to fully charge. The white light on the battery stays on and the charger flickers between red and green for the duration. My spinners last me about 10 hours of heavy vaping. They are 3 months old and I rotate 4 of them.

Take the spinner off the charger and wait for a couple more experienced people to come here and post to advise you. Better to be safe. Never leave any battery alone while charging.

I have had both red and green charger lights on at the same time, the problem in my case was the center pins of the charger and Spinner not making contact. I used something small like tweezers or a very small flat tip screwdriver and gently pried up on the center pin of both the Spinner and charger. Just work your way around a few times and GENTLY pry up on the Spinners center pin, in my case I use a cheap Kgo charger and did the same thing to the charger, I would recommend not doing the charger until after trying the Spinner first.

This is the same problem that can cause certain toppers to not work, normally caused by over tightening toppers. As for the 4.2 volt thing, I normally set the Spinner at 4.2 volts and turn it off, however I have charged the Spinner at various settings and left it on with no problems, try the center pin and let us know if it works.

Best advice I can give to the OP is to just start with the Spinner turned all the way down, and vape. Turn it up a little, and vape. When it starts to taste burned, back it down the last step.

Yes, different juices may well taste better at different voltages, and with VV is not an issue.

I have 3 1300 Spinners, among other things. If used until they shut down, they take about 3 -4 hours to recharge fully. When first on charge, the battery white light will come on (after some initial flashing) and stay on for much of the charge cycle. At some level of charge, the white light will go out. The charger light may have a slow green pulse, but will stay mostly red until it's fully charged, and then go solid green.

I've read that the green pulse is the charger checking battery voltage. Makes sense, but I haven't seen a circuit diagram, so don't know for sure. But if that is the case, then the 14 hour no-charge might indicate a dirty contact, either on the battery or charger - or both. Clean with a swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol, and let dry, then try again.

Or, yes, it could be a slightly depressed pin, not making a good connection, as SirSteve outlines.

One other variation to the problem may be the Ego charger itself.
The black plastic that protects the threads of the charger is sometimes just a bit long for the Spinner to make contact with the center pin properly. So rather than trying to lift the center pin of the Spinner, it's sometimes easier in the long run to trim back the plastic of the socket of the charger itself. (Somewhere between a 1/16 to na 1/8 of an inch.)
If you do this, you're still able to charge other battery types such as Twists and Egos, and you won't have to constantly fiddle with the center pin of your Spinner.
At least it worked for me.
:)

Just noticed your banner is a smidge away from one year analog free!!!! Awesome!

Nice tip Elwin, I may just try that as I am confused by why my center pin would be depressed in the first place, I am careful not to over tighten anything.

Good tip DavidOck, it really should have been included in my post but since I normally clean contacts when I take the topper off I didn't think about that.

Of course, we're all different, but it took me a week at 18 to not be happy, switched to 24 and haven't burned tobacco since.

After a few months at 24, I stepped back down to 18, and am satisfied there.

After 45+ years smoking, what a relief to find a way that actually works. Find the nic level and flavors that hit it right for you, and whatever power source works. While the high end mods are nice, if a Spinner works, that's what it's all about.

(Although I am eyeing a mod for my anniversary, I do like the form factor of the Spinners - have three 1300, 1 900, an MVP and a VV3, along with a handful of sticks and a couple 1100 autos, which are great for hands free. Whatever it takes is fine!)

Hi,
I had charging issues a couple of days ago on a new spinner, after posting on here i tried 3 things and one of the things i tried worked. Try whats already been said about lifting the centre pin, clean the contact of the actual charger and scrape any crap off of the contact, i used a paperclip (charger out of the mains whilst doing it lol) and i also switched the plug that the charger plugs into. As i said one of these tricks worked and my spinner is now charging and operating like a beut!

figure i'll use em as back ups or going to the beach, or places i might really lose one.
all clearance is 20% check out the home page for the code.
plus everything is covered under warranty for 6 months.
