Vision Spinner problems

Hi,

Complete noob here, any help will be appreciated.

I just received a vision spinner 1300mah today. When I plug it in the charger the power button blinks white approximately 8 times, pauses then repeats. The light on the charger goes from green, to red, to off in about 2 seconds then repeats.

Does it have an internal short or am I completely ignorant?

Sounds odd, all I can tell you is they come 90% charged so my advice is to use it for awhile then try charging it again, if it does the same thing send it back for a replacement.

I have a spinner as well and it loves to do all manner of light flashing and weirdness while charging. I have no idea what normal is because this thing seems to decide on a new normal daily. It works, but I've given up trying to figure it out and generally just use my Twist.

Your were right
regarding it already being charged and it is definitely working. I will have to see what happens when it is time for a charge.

When it needs a charge the fire button flashes 3 times after each attempt to take a drag. How the Spinner flashes when attached to the charger depends on how badly it needs charging. As the charge progresses the fire button stops flashing or glowing and goes out. You are left with the charger light which should still be red. The charger is constantly checking with the Li-on battery for the state of the charge which is why it goes from green to red to green etc. When full charge is reached the green light on the charger comes on and stays on.

The best bet for a long overall life for the battery is don't let the charge run out completely. They have a life cycle of about 300 full charges (from dead blinking to full charge). If you intervene and keep it charged on a regular basis (like after using it for more than say 12 hours) it will have a long and happy life.
