Vision Spinner Charging Issues

I recently picked up the vision spinner 1300mah. All seems to be very good and from what I can see it far surpasses my old twist regarding vaping time. One thing that puzzles me is the charging cycle… When I put it on the wall wart the power button stays lit and the red blinking light on the wart continues. After four hours the white light on the power button goes out, but the spinner continues to blink red, never completing with a green finished light.

Currently I am getting a full day and part of the following morning but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced charging issues…

I dont know about what your experiencing but the two I got (one for a coworker) seem to both light up the power button while charging, the wall charger (usb plug) will glo red then flash a little green when it gets close then stay green when it's completely finished. if its not finishing you may want to get a diff usb charger. be aware it can take several hours to fully recharge a 1300 depending on how low it is.

At first I charged it for two hours but then felt something was not right. So my next charge with a new USB and wall wart I charged for four hours and at the four hour mark the white power button went off. But the red blinker never reached green. I called the supplier and that didn't go too well, at first he suggested a new USB charger which I did with no results… Thanks

THANK YOU! THANK YOU for bringing this up. I'm currently experiencing the exact same thing. At least I know it's not just me or my charger. My charger does fine with my Twist, but the Spinner just "spins" (see what I did there?)

However, I am finding that my spinner is indeed charging. I also have a little usb 510 connector from my cig-a-like days. After the spinner sits on the regular charger overnight, I pop it onto the cig-a-like charger and the light goes out after about 5 minutes.
Was hoping it was a problem with the charger and the new one I ordered will fix it, but doesn't sound like it will.
Wonder if the spinners need a more robust charger. That said, the little 510 plug charger seems to do its job with it.

Never had this issue with my Spinners or Twists BUT I have noticed with friends the charging cycles/ lights are different. I would suggest to all vapers that they buy a digital multi tester. Takes lots of the guesswork out when issues arise IMO.
In regards to any charging issues sometimes the charging post needs to be pulled out slightly OR the battery post needs to be puled up- GENTLY is key here. Cleaning ALL connections before every recharge is a must- this includes threads and battery, charger and juice delivery devices.

Glad to know I am not alone also. Thought I was going crazy. I have returned 3 spinners already. I get about 2 weeks then they stop charging. At my wits end. I would like to know how you gently pull the post out to make the connection? I don't want to void any warranty. I also don't want to keep returning these things every 2 weeks or so.

Use a small screwdriver, straightened paper clip, or any other small stiff device. Turn the battery off (5 click), then gently pry around the edges of the center pin, using the outer part as a fulcrum. Work gently all around the circumference of the center pin. You likely need only 1/2 mm of upward motion. You don't want to remove the pin, just to lift it a tad.

Thank you that worked! Tried it just a few seconds ago and now it is charging!!

Had same issue with mine, ive learned you have to be careful when screwing a 510 connection like the protank into your batteries because as David Ock made a suggestion to about raising up your center pin, the tank when screwed down too tight can push it down and give you an off fire as well charging issues..so that with some regular maintenece ( Q Tip and rubbing alcohol works for me ) the spinner should be ok...GL

I am using my droid phone charger(interchanging usb devices that came with vision spinner 2013) seems to work. Any problems continuing to do this?
Also, what are the numbers on the dial on bottom of spinner used for, I notice if I go from 3.8 to 4.3 to 4.8 it seems stronger when I inhale? Dumb question I know but I just started yesterday and the guy at store was not clear.
Thanks guys, I promise you I will probably have more questions but will show respect and manners on this site.

No idea on the Droid charger, but the numbers on the bottom are your voltage numbers. Obviously, the higher the voltage, the more it will burn.

I use a Spinner too for the time being, find that 4.1 works best with most juice.

Thank you.
The Motorola android phone comes with a wall plug which has a usb on a wire that plugs into the phone to charge it. I simply remove the phone usb from the wall plug and replace it with my spinner usb which has a wire that screws into the top of the spinner port which is below the resavoir when it is removed.

Using the same (Motorola) wall wart is fine. All USB2 are 5 volts. The only real issue is the current capability of the wall wart. It needs to be at least 500 mA, more is better. So check the label for Output. Should be something like 5 VDC 500 mA (or 1A or...)

The Spinner is a fine VV battery, good workhorse. As you've found out, the flavor will change at different settings. Those settings are the numbers around the bottom, and tell you (roughly) what voltage you've set the battery for. Higher voltage on the same topper will vaporize more liquid, hence more vape and flavor.

General rule of thumb, especially with a new topper or coil, is to start low and work up in steps until you're happy. Coil resistance varies between toppers, and from what may be marked on the head itself. Using VV (or VW) to fine tune the vape to your tastes is an advantage.

Sounds like the guy at the store needs some lessons in customer service :)
