Ok ... I am still in a learning curve here ... I thought I had it all figured out and then I tried the Vision stardust and loved the vaping purity but soon found the dual wicks looking and tasting burned ... does one try to keep them moist with juice or avoid wetting them ? It tastes better when wetting them ... then my juice seems to get dark and thick and all goes to h___ in a handbasket so to speak ... I cleaned it out tonight with warm water and rubbing alcohol and it is now drying ... I have read I need to do a dry burn before using again ... can someone tell me exactly how that is done ? A few pulls on a charged battery with no liquid or is it more complicated ?
Thx ... so far I have had the best luck with the Boge LR cartos ... a tank I purchased came singed looking and leaked and now this stardust biz ... maybe I should stick to the Boge ... thx a bunch for any help out there ...
sincerely,

New too. The liquid seems to darken after it has been heated and cooled a few times. If you top off the tank a 3 or 4 times I think the last few drops accumulated over time will carry a scorched taste. I've used a couple of Visions with mixed results. To clean I've tried alcohol, vodka and water. Alcohol and Vodka seem to work best. Fill .5 ml, shake, dump. Repeat. With mouth piece off fire on/off till the wick is dry and you can peep in and see the coil glowing. Don't let your coil glow for more than a second. Most of this is restated from a few other threads but it has kept one of my visions going for several weeks. Someone can chime in if there is a better way.

Probably a good idea to let them sit an hour or so after filling for the first time. Also, don't let them get much below half way. Lastly, tip them so that the fluid gets up and wets the wick every now and then - maybe every fourth or fifth vape.

I use the new one. Not sure which you are using - there are older ones that do not work as well as the newer ones.

I just cleaned mine (newest version from GotVapes) for the first tie about an hour ago and now it tastes awesome again. I had the same experience with liguids getting dark and taste turning after . . . hmm, maybe four or five times refilling it when the tank got down to the last quarter or so. Just threw it in a bowl with hot water for a minute, put the cap back on and shook it, emptied by flicking, repeated two more times, then dry burned.

I have an eGo battery, and this how I dry burned - Cap off, looking down the center, hold the button down for three or four second, pause for a couple seconds, repeat. Took like twenty times before I could see the glow and steam rising. Then maybe 5 or 6 more of the same quick bursts. I filled it after just a few minutes, let it soak in for ten, then began vaping. It did take quite a few pulls before the flavor came back, but when it did it was clean and pure. May be better to let it dry for an hour or two if your not as impatient as I am.

Oh, and from your post, let me just say DO NOT take a pull on it while dry burning. Just hold it so you can look down the center for the red glow when it comes and be patient - a room with dim lighting preferable.

Good Luck!

Fabulous feedback !
Just what I needed to know ... thx so much !
The visions only last a few weeks though ?!
The ones I bought were the latest from Gotvapes ... 2.0 Vision Ego Stardust ... after waiting weeks for some to be available ( after all the hype I read about them ... falsified hype to sell a not so great product as if it is the newest and best pair of cat's pajamas ????)
Maybe I can get my $$$ 's worth now thx to you generous folks here :)
wishing you all great vapes and a happy St. Paddy's Day !
