Hello all,

Im new to the forums and vaping in general and had a question about the Vision V2 long wick clearos from madvapes. I've bought several and within about a week I'm burning out the coil on it. They're replaceable which makes it better but still irritating sometimes.

I figure its because I'm constantly vaping. I never let it reach below half before refilling and I'm running the normal 80/20 mix. Any suggestions? Maybe others I could try to have this happen less often.

Battery is an Ego 510 3.7v USB passthrough. I've got a Kanger MT3 otw to try too.

I haven't used the Vision long wick clearos , but if you mean the coil has popped (broken) then its getting to hot due to not enough juice getting to the coil. Tinker with it with that in mind. If you mean there is a major drop in performance, to the point its not producing the vapor you want, then yes, you could just be a vaping machine :vapor:

I've found that tilting the clearos on their sides (or even upside-down) between hits so that the coils & wick is fully saturated helps a lot (top-mounted coils). Keeps the coils "cooler" & flavor is also much better. Works with Vivi Nova, or other top-coil tanks also.

They are a flawed design in my opinion. The part where the "draw tube" onto which the head attaches bulges and hence restricts the liquid a bit. Those heads are kinda the same that goes onto a nova.
The clearo tube were designed for ce4's in general and using them for these keeps the cost's down.
I have only found few V2's to be good. Some are downright pathetic.
Try the long wick clearos "ce4's". Their wicks can be changed pretty easily provided you have acess to pre-coiled wicks. I use the wicks that came with my vivi tank and they work perfect.

Nam, I do the tilt and roll all the time but somehow I'm still burning through them. My wife has a V2 also and hers has been working fine since December. I've been through 3 since then and finally went w the mini vivi and its been doing good. Maybe because of the multiple wicks, not sure.

Yepper... I love the Vivi Nova tanks. They give me fewer problems, and better flavor/vapor than just about anything else I've tried so far. They are dirt-simple to clean, & changing the coils is a no-brainer, and the coils seem to last at least two-three times longer than most others. Just make sure you get the REAL Vivi made by Vision...the knock-offs may be a bit cheaper & even look the same, but they are pure junk.....(at least in my personal experience)

I've got a half-dozen of the 3.5s tanks right now & I'll probably replace the plastic tubes with glass (Pyrex) eventually....I've had one or two leak after I dunked them in super-heated (microwaved) water to clean them & they warped a bit (my fault). Other than that, they have been solid performers.

Yea I spoke with the guys there and told them I was vaping constantly trying to battle my cig cravings at certain points in the day and they suggested that I use 2 and swap them out periodically to keep from burning the coils out.

Hi 2kwik4u,
I think thats good advice. Ive always had at least 2 going and never have problems with the coil burning out that soon, like you wife.
Clean and dry-burn and you should get a month with rotateing a couple all the time.
