Vision Vapros Nunchaku VW battery 2000mah(18Watts) problems

I got this battery just over a month now and I think it's a good battery but has issues. Mine worked awesome for the first two weeks then I started burning out my coils. I would keep mine set at 9w because that seemed like the best for me. Any higher would give me a burnt taste and less would drop in flavor. By the fourth week would constantly have a burnt taste and was putting in new coils every day. My father has the same battery and got it a week after me and has had no problems at all. After reading reviews I found some people having the same problem as me and others having the problem right out the box. One reviewer said that after using it and getting the same burnt taste on three different tanks they tested the battery and it was much higher than it should be. Now mine is okay at 6w producing burnt taste still but not as much. If I purposely flood my tank and take very slow long hits I could get good vape and flavour but I wish it would work like it did when I got it. Is there any way to fix it?

have you tried cleaning your contacts?

edit: where the tank meets the bat, if it has any black like build up or if the tanks leaked juice onto the pin there will be buildup causing it not to work right. aka giving you that burnt taste. if theres build up from the 2 metals touching it will cause the volts to spike and burn your coils out quick. take a Qtip and clean the top of the battery connection. if that doesn't work dip a clean Qtip in pepsi make sure its not dripping in pepsi just a little bit and clean it again(if you don't have Qtips buy some your going to need them alot when it comes to this hobby). should fix it. if not the mods defective or junk. theres no real way to fix them.. they have a built in battery thats solder to the connection, and its all glued together. thats the down fall with the ego style mods.

I bought one last week, and while I like it, it's definitely got issues- you get dry hits and juice starts burning even though I have it at it's lowest setting. I believe I will be returning it-it's pretty in hot pink but I don't appreciate dry hits AT ALL. Especially not at 6 watts. The V-spot is a nice little tank though- has no airflow control (I'm used to using EMOWs which do) but it's still a nice tank with a decent airflow and makes good vapour. I'll play with this for a bit more to see if there's a reason for the dry hits and if not I'll take it back and grab an eGo One. It does have a 3 month warranty on it.
