Hey everyone, thought I'd right up a quick review on the viva nova 2.5 that I've been using on my vamo v3, I'm sure there's plenty out there but this is my take on it,

ive only been useing this since yesterday so I will try and update this as I go along, my first impression of it is good ive been running at 4 volts or 7 watts as i found anything higher would cause a burnt taste but I found it really simple to use, I like that you get 2 spare heads with it so can see this lasting me at least 6-8 weeks, chain smoking most of the time. First time I filled it up to the 3.5ml fill point left it to soak for about 15 minutes and wasn't getting any gurgle noises etc.. It was performing quite well, I found the draw was a little airy and for my personal taste would have liked it a little tighter as it wasn't airy enough to do big lung hits but was a bit too airy to do mouth hits (if that makes sense :/ haha) , I also noticed as I was taking drags there was an annoying whistle notice coming for the air hole at the base which I didn't like, however this didn't effect the performance, the flavour isn't the best I've experienced but decent enough to be happy with it, the throat hit it good but again other things I've used have performed a little better, the amount of vapour is quite good, nothing close to a genesis style but still enough to be happy with it and certainly more than the ce4-ce5 cleromizers that are similar in design.

if you do have a vamo v3 or something similar there is things you can do to fix a few of the issues I have had, first off the whistle noise I don't think can be completely silence but by twisting the top ring on the vamo anti clock wise as if you wanted to take it off to the point were it butts up to the base of the nova certainly acts as a sound insulator and makes it allot quieter,

doing this I have expected it to have effected the air flow but apart from making it very slightly tighter it didn't have as big of an effect that I was expecting but in doing this it has also rectified the air flow issue, so now instead of the air flow being neither airy or tight it's just on the right side of tight so I can get good mouth hits and still produce good vapour and get decent flavour.

It seems to whick really well and have only experienced dry hits maybe 2-3 times but a quick tilt and twist sorts this out and for anyone that's used to the ce4-ce5 style cleromizers this is second nature now and doesn't create a big problem.

I like the fact that I can put most 510 drip tips on it and have changed the standard one with another I'm a little happier with.

after filling it up the second and third time I did find that going up to the 3.5ml fill point was causing it to flood slightly and had to take it off, blow through it and dab the bass with a cloth, however the excess I found burns away really quickly and within 3-4 minutes its back to being a good clear air flow again.

I did notice a little leaking at the bass of the connector, it is very very slight and nothing I'm worried about but I do blame my self for this as I think filling it up to a lower level would prevent it from flooding and prevent this leaking issue.

Now having a vamo and having experienced the o-ring/centre pin issue already I was happy to see that the vivi nova 2.5 had a spring loaded centre pin which make me feel a little better screwing this all the way down. The pin still doesn't go as high as I'd like but I think if it didn't move at all it would have been un-useable for me.

So good points are,

-It's easy to fill and holds a good amount of liquid (3.5ml)
-performance is good creating good amount of vapour and decent taste and throat hit.
-looks of it are good and with the top of the vamo v3's top cap having a bevel it makes it meet up very nicely.
-choice of colours are good
-a total of 3 internal screw on replaceable heads.
-nice 510 drip tip connection.
-spring loaded centre pin perfect for mods that have o-ring/ centre pin issues.

bad points,

-the airflow I think on other mods wouldn't be ideal for some people (could always get an air flow regulator)
-the whistle noise for me would have put me off after a bit as it would certainly draw attention your way if using it out of the house.
-cant really run it at higher volts than 4v or 7w useing the 2.4ohm whick and coil.

over all though I'm really happy with it and can see my self useing this whilst in the car, at work and even at home if I wanted a little change from my rsst rebuildable.

Would certainly recommend this to people if there stuck using the ce4 etc.. Cleromizers and getting sick of the dry hits, flooding issues and having to fill them all the time not to mention how out of place they look when on bigger mods.

Hope this is help to some people and anything I can help with feel free to ask ;)

Dean.
