Viva nova

So I have been "trying" to use the pro tank 2 & mini 2 with my eVod battery and 2.2 coils but they all burnt out quick and I mean quick like within a hour or two. Went threw 16 of them and said enough is enough.

So I ordered the viva nova & the itaste tank. From ecigs best save. First impression of the viva nova was it looks really cheap. Mine came n a new box but the tube is all scratched up and mettle has finger prints all over it right out of the box. It was clean and didn't smell at all so I filled it up with the 1.8 I think it is & it vapes really smooth with a good amount of vapor! So I am pleased with performance but not at all with the look. I have not tried the other tank yet so ill post what I think when I try it out.

I agree. I had the same problem. Constant clogging, needing to clean, leaking witht the newer protanks and their mini's. i too have the mini nova mini and the iclear 16. Love them. Better taste. The only thing i liked about the PT2 was the construction. My husband likes the PT2s more and i dont know why.

Comparing vivi nova and the iclear 16, id say their vapour production are almost the same, both easy to clean the wicks. Id think the vivi nova has the slight edge on producing the flavour though.

I pretty much use the vivi nova but only the ones made by vision. I have tried others and I just prefer what works. Some of the heads I have received with them recently have been less than stellar but I rebuild my own and they are much better. All del devices have a bit of learning curve once you get used to them it makes a world of difference.

With my protanks it seems to be kind of hit or miss with the wick setup. My best one I'm using right now is a little tiny wick made of rolled up SS mesh (oxidized, 400 grade), it's just under a millimeter thick or so (maybe .75 mm) and it's been inserted into a little piece of ekowool 1mm thick as a sheath. I wrapped 32 gauge kanthal around it 5 times, set it into it's slot in the base of the tank, then layed two cotton threads on top of the coil to keep it from shorting and to keep the space semi-closed. Came out at 1.9 ohms, and works VERY well. This is the first time I did this trick with the SS mesh inside of ekowool, and I like how this works. Gives a little insulation so there's no nasty taste from the SS mesh, and seems to fit in perfectly this time. Before, I was using larger diameter SS mesh wicks, then laying some cotton wick on top of the coil when I put it back together. I don't have it down quite yet, but with some experimenting I think it will get consistently better.
