Ok

So I broke my 3.5ml Vivi Nova tank and went to buy a replacement and found 3 or 4 sites that sold the 3.5ml tank or so they said when I looked at the site photo of the tank, it showed the fill mark at 2.8 and this was not just one site but all of them I looked at said the same thing and showed the 2.8 so I called and was told yes the top fill line says 2.8 but if you fill it all the to the top of the tank it will be 3.5 ...???? really so I guess you have to flood your tank if you want 3.5ml? my broken vivi nova's top fill line say's 3.5 which is just below the wick. so my question is does anyone know of where I can get a true 3.5ml vivi nova tank that uses the flat not pointed replacement coils? And am I the only one that thinks this is false advertising?

I think a lot of tanks say the same kind of thing, I mean they say a capacity that is beyond the usable limit. Kayfuns for example are meant to be 4.5ml, but you need to leave an air bubble or it wont work, so therefore cant be filled to 4.5ml.

I am with you on the slightly false advertising thing, but I (hopefully) wont be losing sleep over it...

Sadly, this is common practice for virtually any liquid reservoir (clearo, carto tank, eGo-T tanks, etc). Manufacturers usually list the capacity including every last bit of space in there, even though some air space needs to remain in the tank for it to function. Occasionally you see a listing on a vendor's site that uses their own description that may list the functional capacity, instead, but most vendors just seem to quote word for word the manufacturer's specs
