I'm hoping a few users can help me out with this. I've decided that I want to go with the Vivi Nova tank and ditch the Phoenix XL clearomizers in the process. I have a volt battery (mini not the X2) and I am well aware of the thread difference and the need for an adapter. The problem/question is will it work with the mini or do I have to upgrade to an X2? I would prefer to not get an additional battery at the moment as I have two right now and unless there is a real need for it I want to just stick with what I have.

So if their are any cons in not going with a bigger battery could you all please be so kind as to tell me so I can be sure as to whether I need to go to an X2 or not?

Thanks in advance. :)

I can't give you a certain answer but my suspicion is it would sort of suck on a regular 808d. I was an 808d user -- 65s, then 78s then 102s and they all had progressively more power and better taste in general. Now I'm using an Ego Twist--I think the small 808ds wouldn't run it that great.

As a FYI, I left the X2s just to go to the Vivi for the 510 threading. SI is charging 30$ for a 1300. I got an 1000 Ego Twist for $22 and love the variable voltage which is awesome on a ViVI and the Joyetech bat is far superior to the X2, one of which died in 5 weeks. If you do plan to go to the ViVI may as well leave the 808d world--the vivi rocks and the 510 cartos are 1/2 price. The Vivi rocks--cheap, maintance is easy. Just know your juice is muted--strong flavors work great, subtle light flavors mute up. Variable voltage is great on the Vivi because what might not be great at the X2 3.6v may be great at 3.8. And you can use all 3 vivi heads with a VV. As I'm typing this, my raspberry burned a bit at 4.0, just turned it down to 3.8 and it's great on the Vivi. Just that extra volt control on the Vivi is the difference between making it work and "Well now I'm stuck with it a 3.6v and if it tastes bad there's nothing I can do". My juice burned in a Phoenix BC and I decided that it will never happen to me again--vv is great and I wish I had done it long ago.
