Simple mod for converting your Vision vivi nova or mini nova to cotton. Making enough room for the cotton to fully expand, a tight coil will not choke your wick. The clean taste is well worth the effort.

First of all, thank you for this information!
Secondly, for anyone who tries this with a drill press (as I did), don't go straight for the 4mm bit. I did that and ended up destroying a head. Start about 4 bit sizes smaller, and bore each hole slowly until you get to the 4mm bit.
A question for you xMackx, in the picture above you say not to have the coils close enough to touch, but in this post you say you do want the coils touching. You also said you explain "more on this phenomena in another thread". I'm currently looking through your history but I can't seem to find the thread in question. So my question is, should I have them touching or not?
I should add that I'm using cotton balls, which are working amazingly thanks to your hole suggestion.

Reducing resistance on the legs is supposed to prevent burning the rubber bung. I've learned my lesson with that -- I didn't do it, burnt the rubber, still can't look at a Vivi Nova without gagging. The taste was that bad.
Twisting the legs is definitely a must, but can anyone comment on whether or not the coil wraps should be touching?
I never have them touch and get good results, the ohms drop if they touch,34,33,32,28 kanthal, best results with 32 5/6 wrap 2 ohms nor do i ever wrap the legs , havent had to yet....
