I'm praying this will resurrect my ViVi Nova. I just tried everything from rebuilding 10 coils, tight, loose, thin, high ohms, low ohms. Tried placing a piece of wick on the top of the coil. I tried trimming the silicone cap down and finally went to some 80/20 juice with just a small bit of difference and I vape 50/50. I have spent 4 hours today alone (not including many other hours past two weeks) trying to figure this out. So I'm hoping this will be a universal fix :) Thank you

Vivi novas and clearos like it are my go-to devices for most of the time lately.
Trimming the coil housing's little condom down doesn't help because it'll still block the wick slots.
You just need to pull some of the wicks OUT so that there is less wick through the slots.
Then just put the silicone condom over the coil housing lightly, don't push it all the way down.
Make sure the little disk in the condom isn't too far down, don't let it go down past the middle of the condom.
and then just screw your mouthpiece in and vape. make sure you have a thinnish juice in there.
If that doesn't completely work, slot your silicone condom but keep legs so it doesn't sit at the ledge.
That should do it. Thats what I do and my vivi nova tanks ROCK, and they don't waste juice either.
I vape 3 to 5ml a day and that doesn't change when I use a good working vivi nova.

Thats my little tips, and they seem to work for me. Just thin out the wick, & sometimes u have to slot the condom.
If I want a ridiculously good vape on par with a nice rba,
I take the condom off completely and splash juice into the head when it gets dry, and its just like dripping! :)

Okay its a little early to say but I just rebuild a Nova head with 3mm wick, 1.9oHms, with a much smaller coil. I looked for my drill bits but unfortunately could not find them and couldn't use this fix just yet. I usually build my coils around a 14 gauge needle, one thing I noticed is everyone rebuilds them around a paper clip. I also cut the wick a little shorter than usual and it goes down about 3/4ths of the way down the tank. I tried to make sure the silicon cap wasn't touching the wick as best I could.

I recently purchased a Vision V3 Clearomizer and I absolutely love the thing. Its been the only tank system I've ever had to work right out of the box (I haven't even bothered to rebuild the head on it yet). I was fascinated with the fact that it works just as intended, even with my 50/50 juice. So Shred and I got to thinking about what exactly is different? Things we theorized were that the wick was touching the tank, the head being taller (more of a wick channel). I haven't attempted using the head of my Clearo on my Nova yet but that was about all the difference we could figure.

So now my wick is touching the outside of my tank. I also dry burned the silica and the coil with a lighter before installing it. I know a lot of people claim to not taste the chemicals on fresh silica but it tastes awful to me and is not something I intend to vape through especially if I'm testing something. I'm up to 8 watts now (this is 2.5 higher than I could ever comfortable go before) and this is with 70/30 juice. I usually don't vape 70/30 and not entirely sure why I mixed this chocolate at that but it seems to be working. I'm praying it continues to work I want to Love it, I really do.

So my question to anyone else, when your ViVi Nova works best, do you notice the wick is just sticking out from the channels and protruding right to the edges of the tank and then sliding down it?

How does cutting deeper slits not cause it to leak? I just removed one strand of wick from one of my 2.4ohm atomizers and now it leaks when I lay it on its side. I couldn't imagine how much e-liquid I would lose by drilling the slits in the atty deeper to allow more fluid to drain down the center post and out through the bottom. It's also causing me to get e-liquid in my mouth when I vape. It never leaked before I did this.

So from personal experience after replacing the atomizer, I would not recommend pulling out a strand of the wick to prevent the dry hits. Unless you're planing on keeping it upright all the time. Which defeats the purpose since the e-liquid will stay at the bottom of the wick in that case anyway.

Umm, I know I am new to forum's but been vaping for 3 years now. I don't know how your having issue with air flow with the Vivi Nova tank. From my personal experience I find that I self complain that there is to much air flow to being with. I am using the V2.5 hard ware of the Vivi Nova 3.5ml tank. However on the mini Vivi nova I do have issues with having to do harder pulls, But I think it is due to the size of it. There just not allot of air flow room with-in the tank.

Sorry for the rambling, but I think it possible that you may have fault hardware. Also have you tried to soak/clear the stem post of the tank. I did find that there was gunk in mine and by doing a hot water soak and it works brand new.

The easiest mods to the nova

take out silicon plug and remove brass aerator
put silicon minus aerator on shaft, screw on cap
take brass aerator flip it upside down, long pinpoint end down into wick tube
replace drip tip
using the pinpoint end down seems
to wick juice better and makes better vapor

if you want to blow a huge cloud of vapor
safest with no nic base huge vapor display
remove silicon fitting and aerator vape huge cloud

Me thinks its the makers way but would lose parts if shipped this way
no dry hit after consecutive vapes-- just these few adjustments
also i coiled wrapped one wick with old coil to make a denser pick up
jury still out on that mod but it seems to be working
left one factory
