You should definitely try dialing down the voltage gradually if you have a VV to play with, though ViVi Novas have always been complete garbage in my own experience. When I dial down the voltage enough to avoid the taste of burnt wick, I lose just about all of the flavor that ViVis are already robbing me of by nature in the first place. Plus, they tend to spit juice in my mouth no matter the voltage or wick life, and the vapor almost always sucks. I'm going to see if SS mesh can revive these things for me, but it seems like a long shot.

Everyone's different, though, and a lot of people love the stock heads/wicks and swear by their performance. Hope you find a solution that works for you.

Thanks for the feedback.

My issue is basically I have 4 vivis that reads diff ohms, when I tested the ohms the reading differs from the resistance stated on the vivis.
Eg,a 2.4 ohm wick reads 5ohm when checked.the reading keeps jumping ard.and it's not only 1 vivi but 3 other vivi and some of my friends too.
I was thinking its a defect or something in the wick or is it just me.but I have tried so many times changing and all but to no avail.thanks for reading and replying.i am just sharing my issues with other vapers ;)

The coil heads are built such that the entire wire from contacts to coil is 1 single piece of kanthal. You get extra resistance from the the extra lengths and if the kanthal is not contacting the contacts properly, you get funny readings off a DMM. never trust mass produced OTS Stuff.

Invest in a DID. Boomz~~

Thanks for your post.i just got my 3 batch of vivis just like a few days ago.sadly all have the same burnt taste.it maybe due to the supplier for sure.
Don't worry I am using a DID too, just want to try other tanks. Boomz..

I have several also and just received a few more from a trusted vendor and they are the real deal.
I also get nothing but airy burned toilet tissue taste. I have put all of them away including the new ones and hope too never use them again.

i got mine from HC but so far there hasn't been a way to tell if they are real or not as far as i can tell

I think it comes down to the factory's grading for QC like all things from china.
triple AAAs and above are awesome top of the line stuff while anything below a AA would be increasingly dodgy as it goes down the line
I'm thinking when the same batch of coil heads have huge differences in oHm readings... thats a big indication of low QC.
i've never gotten a single coilhead that isn't within the +-0.2 range which i think is acceptable

have you tried rebuilding the coils yourself? looking at other possibilities before actually junking them would be best.
