Long story short... I really do not like the vivi nova mini. Mine leaks on the bottom (plastic threads pull out if nudged), It floods alot, and I just overall am not happy with it.

I am new to the vape world and really love the idea of tanks, I have looked into dct style tanks but the short life on the carto's scares me.

How long do they really last? if longer than a week I could manage that I guess but which tank is best?

I like the wick design but it just seems flawed. A true rebuildable would be fine, I am able to rebuild coils ect... if needed.

Any advice would be great! I am looking to keep my budget for the tank ect... under 50$

I would also prefer something skinny, that fits on an eGo twist and is portable.

Mekk: Sorry to hear you are having a rough go with nova mini. Personally I only have the regular vivi nova and it works flawlessly. You may have just gotten a bad unit that slipped through. It happens sometimes unfortunately. If that Kanger doesnt fit the bill, maybe give the big vivi nova a try. Just make sure its the version 2 or 2.5. Which ever way you go, let us know how it works for you.

I have a few of the Smoktech Titan (screwtank) tanks, which is Smoktech's version of the Vivi Nova. Although I love the easy fill aspect of them and provide lots of vapor, I find that they tend to mute the flavor of some of my juices, compared side by side (or vape by vape) with the same juice in a carto tank.

I vape primarily with cartotanks, and I have over a dozen, each with their own flavor. I tend to like variety, and its rare for me to vape from one tank for more than a few hours. For that reason it's hard for me to quantify how long I get with my cartos. I'd say that I get 3 juice refills with my Smoktech single coil XL's in my tanks, if that is any help to you.

If you consider trying out a slimmer carto tank, I'd recommend the Smoktech DCT pro 3.5ml (My Vapor Store) for a polypropylene model. Or for an inexpensive slim pyrex tank get the 19mm from IBTanked (they don't come with a drip tip).

I prefer the single coil carto's to the dual coil cartos. They give just as much flavor and vapor production as the dual coils, and are much more forgiving in battery life. I get mine below. They come pre-drilled in 1 or 2 holes, therefore you don't have to invest in a $15 punch tool right off the bat. I'd recommend either the 2.0 ohm or 3.o ohm for your Twist.

I also seem to be having some issues with my new mini novas. One of them works fine, seems like it could taste a little better, but the other one just gives a weird hit. Lots of vapor, but feels like the taste is strange, muted and kinda burns a little. I'm using it on an ego Twist. Any tips on how to break it in or fix this problem?

i had a problem with my mini leaking, i was getting all sorts of juice in my mouth, and i could not figure out the problem. i noticed that the tube in the middle was not completely straight so when i screwed on the top cap it was not creating a sufficient seal. i had this problem with a vision v3 clearo and the problem with that was the plastic tube started coming off of the metal base, those dont screw on or off so i just shoved it back down, problem solved, but that was not the case with my vivi, those screw on, and after screwing and unscrewing and being certain i did it right, it was still not aligned. then i just happened to notice that the metal base had a gap from where the threaded connector was coming out of the ring that the plastic base screws into. it was not as easy as just squeezing it back to place, i had to actually take a pair of pliers and gently pop back in, after that things returned to normal, and i can once again love my vivi mini, and when i say love, i freaking mean it, i love this thing, hope that helps someone.
