Hey everyone,
I have 2 Vivi Mini's first one broke a day after buying, other one just broke the other day. I ordered some of these metal tubes for them and got them in today. I noticed that at the bottom after screwing on it appears their is 1/16 inch gap or so from seating on the seal (even though it don't leak from bottom) and when I fill it it appears that the top cap doesn't sit on the rubber cap on top of the atty head causing it to leak out the mouth piece. Am I missing something? any solutions? help would be appreciated....

How and where (which parts) did your VN's break?

So the metal sleeve is not screwing all the way onto the bottom metal piece? If I got that right, my first guess is you cross threaded them. The sleeve has to line up with the bottom piece when threading. If it's cross threaded it will be leaning a bit to one side. This would also explain why the top piece does not make contact with the head seal.

heres where it broke before, seems to be common I've had 3 clearo s and 2 vivi s all break same spot. I made sure I got the plastic out that was stuck in the threads before I started. It almost seems like the bottom thread on both of them are too long for some reason. I don't think I cross threaded it, not a believer in forcing threads so always pay close attention not to,......

Edit: I think if I can get it to go up the rest of the way I'll be good

On the minis the thread is on the outside of the tube.If there are not enough threads on the outside it will not seat into the bottom causing the top cap to stick up too high above the seal making it leak out the drip tip.Same goes for the top thread. Contact the supplier and see if anyone else has the same problem. Are these Mini's or the large size 3.5ml?

That picture makes me wonder if you have real mini nova or not. It could be the camera - or it could just be a different version - but all my mini novas have a different texture pattern on the base .. kind of raised diamond pattern wheras yours looks like vertical lines.

I also have 2 metal tubes - both fit ok on my mini novas. Maybe you can find some o rings of the right size?

Disregard this after seeing the picture, they are mini's

The tubes are too long,You might be able to gently file the bottom a little to get it to sit all the way down.

I don't have any mini's, but I do have some VISION 3.5 ml Vivi Novas & metal tanks for them & mine fit just fine with no leaks. Are these Vision mini's or are they clones (and the metal tanks, also.) I know sometimes the parts from the Vision & the clones don't interchange very well. Maybe, one piece is genuine & the other is a clone.

If thats the case file one end if you can to get it to seat, that will drop the top down more to get a seal on top of the atty.
View attachment 192988 and they both look straight, I also noticed that if I flip the tubes around the top still threads all the way down regardless of which way I have it, so at least know it's not the threads on the tubes itself??????? confused?????

You know after I started looking around I started wondering the same thing. I figured since the tank said vivi nova on it and the B&M down the street sold it to me it had to be real. It came in a vision vivi box identical to all the rest of the vivi s

Doesn't look anything like the mini viva nova I have

Yes, it's clearly a clone and not a genuine Vision Vivi Nova.

On real mini Vision Vivi Novas:

  • the knurling on the top and bottom is in a criss-cross, diamond pattern
  • the numbers in the graduation have two digits to the right of the decimal (thus, "0.50ml" "1.00ml" "1.50ml" "2.00ml")
Parts for real Vision Vivi Novas are not interchangeable with those for clones and vice versa, as you've discovered.
