I've tried the regular 3mil metal tube, colored. I put it all together, FILLED it with delicious juice, thought "wow this looks SICK", then it leaked ALL OVER from the bottom cap...

There's been other reports of this happening, so use them at your own risk. I think the threads are messed up on some, don't quite seal right..

I just ordered 3 diff colored metal tubes for my mini vivi novas & I'm crossing my fingers that I don't have the same problem..

Metal tube is working fine here. The prob with the mini is that adding juice is tougher due to the smaller gap between the head and the wall of the mini.
But is it difficult to tell how much liquid is inside? As far as filling my (clear) mini, I cut the end off of a plastic pipette and made a little funnel.

I love the aluminium tank option for the Vivi Nova. I have 2 black, one of the green( more of a golden slightly green yellow) These dont leak, but I did also order a silver one and a red one and these did leak. I noticed they did not screw in well, usually when you attach them you make a few turns till snug, but these leaky ones only made about one turn and seemed snug, but they leaked. Since my juice is real thick I didnt notice right away. I put them away over night and the next day it was all over the little box I keep them in. If you want to make sure before adding juice, fill it with water, without the head and you will see the water bead out along the joining of the bottom and the tank. I guess with the mass production they messed up on a few.
The aluminium tank really dresses up the Vivi Nova, and yes, you cant see your juice levels, but you will learn to feel when it gets low. I just take a peak when I get low vapor production.
