Ok, I was slow coming to appreciate these things. I bought one quite awhile back and used it here and there, then recently decided I liked it and ordered another.

It leaks. I cannot figure out from where. It is not coming out from the bottom because the area between the tank and Provari is the only place not covered with ejuice. I've taken it apart, inspected it all closely, everything looks fine. It does not flow out, I cannot even see it come out. I just know if I fill it up and use it pretty soon my whole PV feels greasy.

The old tank works fine. The only problem I have is the heads only work a short while before the performance/flavor fails, about the same as a Smoktech carto, except it costs twice as much and has better flavor before it goes sour. But if the tanks are a 50/50 proposition I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

Anyone have any idea how to fix my tank, and how likely I am to get another bad one, I know no store guarantees carto products, and it isn't even cost effective to ship one back, so I'd like to get an idea how many of these tanks come out with issues.

Did you get the Vision or the Smoktech version?... did you get it from GotVapes or elsewhere? ( yes, it makes a difference since there are other clones and many fakes out there ) What PG/VG ratio is the juice you are using? How warm is the area where you are keeping it? Are you laying it down or standing it up?

This may sound like a stupid question but have you checked to make sure that the head was screwed in tightly? There's only a few places that the Vivi Nova can leak from, the top/bottom seals of the tube, the top seal above the atty head and the atty head itself. I've had them come loose before and it leaked out just as you described. I sometimes use a screwdriver to crank the head down just to be sure! I did have one experience though that I've yet to explain. I picked up a Smok Vivi Nova Tank (Neptune) and it leaked no matter how tight everything was. I finally removed the metal cover and have had no issues since. I believe the cover kept the end caps from being completely cranked down. Good luck...

It is the Vision Vivi Nova 2.5 from GotVapes.

Juice is roughly 30pg/70vg (I'm not real precise about that ratio) but about 2-4% H2O so it is fairly thin. Seems to me that it wicks better when it is thinned a little. It is fairly cool now doesn't get much warmer than the low 90's this time of year and it isn't kept anywhere warmer than the climate. It is usually standing up.

The head is screwed down, with a screwdriver once I was having problems. The top/bottom cap seals appear to be ok, they are certainly tight. Not sure how I could tell if the seal above the atty head is tight, I think it would only cause problems if the PV was inverted, and while the tank might be rolling around on a counter before I actually use it, it doesn't seem to start leaking until I start vaping with it. I have no idea what metal plate you are referring too, or is that something unique to the Smoktech.

Ok... so the only question would be if you've thinned it too far with the water... ie thinner juices will leak more than a thicker one would. Heas also thins a juice but if you aren't leaving it in a hot car, you should be ok. Thinner juices will also wick quicker which could lead to a leak but you will usually notice it gurgling also when this happens.

The only other thing I can think of to check ( beyond those above ) are the o-rings themselves... they can be easily nicked which could lead to it leaking.

I never had issues with the Vision's I've got beyond the possible causes I've mentioned.... but I have moved over to BCC's like the Kangers since I get better flavor out of them. I never cared for carto's though ( the Vivi's are not carto's, they are clearo's but have the same type of warranty of course still )

The only time I've had a leak with a vivi or a stardust is when a wick end gets caught in the threading between the plastic and the metal. It only takes a tiny, almost invisible, thread to make it slowly leak. I now trim down the wicks a bit to make sure thay clear the threading.

If that's not it, then I'm stumped.

Had a mystery leak in my Nova too, never could really figure it out. I knew I wasn't vaping that much but i was going through two tankfuls a day. Wasn't the wicks, wasn't at the threads or base.

I thought I was crazy so I just got a new tank, and voila I knew I wasn't vaping that much. Only used half a tank for the day. PS: The Davide tanks are awesome!
