Are the heads seated properly? When you take off the top part, it can loosen the connection for the head.

Is the plastic part on top of the head seated properly? I've noticed a significant difference between my vape experience when that part gets pulled up by accident. The plastic can also be pushed too far down, which I believe interferes with either the airflow or wicking of the wicks.

Try dry burning them potentially? Did you clean the wicks when you got the out of the box? Some people note improved performance when they clean off the primer that can come on the wicks. (I know you said I "cleaned it" but there are multiple parts to the Vivi Nova)

voltage depends on juice...
1.8 was designed for Egos at 3.3v
2.4 for 3.7volt bats
2.8 for 4+volts
(gotvapes) 3.2 head for high volts

Someone posted the white plastic cylinder in the drip tip can cause a plastic taste if it's up the tube too high... Push it down a bit...

my bad... missed a post... heads have primer and tend to taste like crap... clean them...

I hated my Vivi Nova when I got it. Flavor was terrible.

Skelley had me rinse all the heads in super hot water, and they taste perfect now. I've been using a 2.4ohm head with my eGo battery. Lots of vapor, moderate flavor. Not the same flavor as my DCTs, but I couldn't stand the leaking on those things anymore.

I'm on the same head now for 10 days, had an odd plastic taste exactly once and I chalk it up to forgetting to tilt (trimmed wicks down to ~5mm) and possibly thinning the 100VG down a little too much. Took it apart, cleaned and dry burned, refilled, was back to normal.

Like it enough to know I'll be picking up at least 2 more at the next meet + more heads. And they don't turn my liquid into syrup 1/2 way through first fill.

From what I've read in the modding forum, most of the time that burnt plastic taste is because all of the wire used for the coil and connecting the coil to the head is resistance wire. If you're vaping too hot for too long you can start to heat up the grommets that keep the wires from shorting out, causing that taste.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can get some new resistance wire, non-resistance wire and wicking matterial, then build a new coil that has non-resistance wires for the connecting wires, and resistance wire for the coil.

resistance wire is the part of the coil that gets hot and actually causes your e-juice vaporize. Non-resistance wire will still conduct electricity, but it won't turn red hot, hence hot heating up the plastic grommet that it is touching, and not getting that plastic taste.

That's the problem with ALL these top coil Clearo's and those Vivi's are a top coil Clearo.

If I vape a dark colored coffee type juice using my Vivi by the time it's 3/4 drained it looks black.

Actually I foud out the problem was I had the plastic cap on backwards. I don't know why but it made a difference..

The metal dish inside the plastic keeps the heat away from the plastic if the open end is towards the coil.

I fill mine to 2.8 and when it is (like right now) at 0.7 my coffee juice is still clear enough to see through. You must be getting excess heat from chain vaping or high voltage. Mine doesn't thicken at all until I do about 3 top ups without cleaning.

The old Star Dusts used to do this because the resistance wire ran from top to bottom but all the changeable head clearos now have a very short run for the resistance wire. Even less if recoiled using no resistance except for the coil.

The moderate flavor could be because the 2.4 is a bit high for the ego. Have you tried the 1.8? That one for some odd reason is my favorite even with a vv device. It's odd because I really prefer a cooler vape, but that gives me the most flavor and th.

I don't know if it was on all heads. The 2.4 head I am using with my kgo seems towork find for me now. Also I was wondering if it was the juice I was using I was mixing coffee with vanilla I think the coffee flavour I was using gave it that burnt like taste. So now I am using just vanilla and that seems to work fine for me..
