I am thinking about getting a Vivi Nova for my Ego-t. A local shop has them for 7.95 but I see posts about knock-offs. Do I need to look for the Vision Vivi Nova or is there a difference? I don't need to buy more junk, I'm still in the process of finding the right juice, I don't need to throw new equipment into the mix until I get the juice narrowed down.

It's always better to get the genuine article. Vision products have been difficult to find since January but are beginning to show up on vendors sites now. Be aware that with every step up in hardware, the juice is going to taste differently. Sometimes that a good thing, sometimes it isn't.

The eGo-t is fixed voltage so be sure to get the lower resistance heads otherwise the low wattage will tend to mute the flavor and reduce the vape production. Some people swear by the Vivi's and other claim it does not deliver the same amount of flavor as other systems. Now-a-days it seems like there are knock offs of already existing knock offs. I would not sweat it too much. What are you vaping with now?

I'm using the Ego-T starter kit and using the tanks that came with it. It is working well, I'm actually not trying for the flavor, I'm searching for something that will replace cigarettes. Some of the juices have been too high in the flavor, yes, I am weird. I have been using what they (two shops) have said are the closest to they real thing. They aren't, I'm now going for close, not closest. I am struggling with mouth irritation and one shop said that was due to too much nicotine so I dropped down to 12. That seems to help some. There is a lot to learn here, it will be worth the learning curve, it will just take some time. Thanks for the reply.

Cool, if you are not looking for the flavor nirvana then the Vivi should do just fine, even if it is a knock off. Now on to the flavors... since you are looking to replace cigs, I would suggest you try some sample juices from a good vendor. Here is a link to a post that might give you a starting point, specifically the 'tobacco' flavors.
