Aloha... I just received my two Vivi Novas, and checked the resistance on the 2.4 ohm heads with my new Vamo... One reads 4.6 ohms and the other 5.7 ohms... Haven't checked the other 4 heads yet, but was wondering what gives with these readings???

Have checked resistance on all my other carts and attys I have used since receiving my Vamo, and so far every one has been only +/- 0.2 ohms... these heads are off by >2 ohms right out of the box... Is this normal or did I just get a bad head???

Can someone here give me a heads up... Thanx

My 2 week old Vivi Nova measures 3.4 ohms with a multimeter instead of 2.4 ohms but it vapes fine even at 3.0v, with a sweet spot at around 3.9v. I start getting a burnt taste at around 4.5v. I found this range/ohms rather weird. It vapes like a 2.4 ohm coil but measures 3.4. Go figure.

Edit: I haven't looked at the coils yet, maybe it uses a low res wire with many wraps??

Just checked all heads that came in the Nova kit...

Of the 1.8 ohm heads: One reads 1.8 and the other reads 2.8

Of the 2.8 ohm heads: Both read 2.8 ohms

What should I do??? Return it???

Open a ticket and ask for a suggestion in the matter... they may have one or may just take care of it for you

I have had some heads that show up higher on the provari and vamo and gripper, but then when you vape it, it performs as it should as if it was lower ohms, try the one at 4.6 ohm and vape it at 4volts and tell me how it performs after a few minutes

There, you've got the suggestion from the man in charge :) they are quick like that around here. But I will say I've had some heads that metered high and within a tank or so, they settle in. And the higher ohm ones tend to have more variance than the lower ohm ones. Not sure why though.

ETA: also try checking them with the heads screwed directly into your battery. Sometimes a vaguary of the base will make them look off.
